This is my home away from home when traveling to Mexico. The atmosphere is laid back and homey but has every modern convenience available. The internet service is quick, rooms very comfortable and clean. The food and drink is excellent and made to order--the flan is the best!

La Posada del Rio Sonora is one of Mexico's hidden treasures. A beautiful drive south of Bisbee along the Rio Sonora River Valley this quaint family inn is a perfect spot to get away from the hectic city life. Take a dip in the nearby springs, tour the neighboring villages and churches or just relax on the rooftop hammock and... More

La Posada del Rio Sonora has the ambiance of a beach resort. The swaying palms and bright colors that greet you as you first walk into the courtyard make you feel like you are in a peaceful getaway in paradise. Across the street is a small park where sour orange trees grow, and local children gather to play in the... More

This is one of the most sorpising places that you can find in México. And Banámichi town is a safe and charming place. Surely you will think "I would like to live here..." And surely you will come back!!!

I travel all over the world on business, especially to places off the beaten path. I didn't know what to expect when making arrangements to stay in Banamichi but was absolutely impressed by my accommodations and wished I could stay longer. The room quality was high enough to charge double the going rate and the US expat owners make you... More

We spent two nights here, and the food, service, and especially the ambiance was fabulous-Banamichi is a very quiet, laid back village, but the nearby hot springs and "old Mexico" feel was great-

We were looking for a place to get away for a few days, someplace where we could relax and spend a quiet few days together. We enjoyed a nice quiet drive through the foothills of the Sierra Madre along with river on the Sonora Rio Route. We ended up in a small town called Banamichi and as fate would have... More

Great place to relax and feel the charm of old Mexico. My husband and I decided we need to just get away and decided to drive along the Sonora Rio Route and found this charming Hacienda Hotel owned by Darrin and Cheri Jones. The Hacienda hotel is so beautiful with artifacts from all over the word, beds are very comfortable.... More

We were a little apprehensive about being in Mexico because of the negative press, however, we were so impressed with the beautiful hotel, the food, the staff. We felt so welcomed by everyone and we always felt very safe, We took several day trips to surrounding towns, meet many locals , we loved their sweet sweet spirit as well as... More

Beautiful hotel, fantastic food, the staff treated us like family! Our room was comfortable, quiet and beautifully done with local flair. The jacuzzi tub and double shower were wonderful, and perfect for our anniversary trip without the kids! After venturing out during the day, it was wonderful to come back to the hotel, relax, and hang out on the patio... More
