We have just returned home from a fantastic stay at Bolton Arms. The accommodation was perfect for our needs and provided a great home from home feel. The rooms were clean and have recently been modernised. We had 3 mornings of huge but fantastic breakfasts and certainly now need to go on a diet! The portions are big so you... More

Needed a room in the Dales and saw this -looked excellent with 9.1/10 - booked the 'last room' using Booking.com, got the confirmation. It was for 2 nights away - so quite close and a Saturday in School hol time - so rooms get filled. Next day (24 hours or so before departing to go there) got a call from... More

Firstly I would like to say I am very sorry that you felt let down by our hotel. However, regrettably, in this kind of business these kind of errors can and, very occasionally, do occur. The facts are that, as you quite rightly point out, the booking was for a weekend in August. A very busy time for most hotels,... More

For my brief visit to The Dales, I was seeking a good pub rather than a B & B (as wanted to sample the local beers). From a combination of my own research and Tripadvisor I picked the Bolton Arms and was not disappointed. I could only stay one night but nevertheless received a warm welcome from everyone. As others... More

Stayed for two nights whilst in Yorkshire for Tour de France. We had a nice clean room outside the pub, but very close. The room was not the largest but still adequate. Although close to the pub we were never disturbed at all. The pub itself is how a 'local' should be, plenty of locals and plenty of chatter with... More

Stayed for 2 nights and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Room was lovely, very clean, comfy bed, well stocked tea/coffee etc, fab shower and lovely complimentary toiletries. We enjoyed meeting some of the locals, and the staff were so friendly and polite. The food here is fantastic and the breakfast perfect. Will definitely be re-visiting soon.

Unlike previous reviews there was no warm greeting when we arrived for our 1 night stay, or when we left. We gathered from some locals that the owners were away. Maybe the lady/cook was having a bad day! Our room adjacent to the pub was nicely decorated but very small, ok for 1 night. The dining room was quite drab... More

We visited for two nights and were delighted throughout our stay. The Bolton Arms offers the warmest welcome of a hearty Yorkshire local pub, with the professionalism of a high quality guest house serving delicious food. We were very warmly welcomed, arriving later than planned and walking in to the bar which was packed with locals and guests alike. We... More
