The location was quiet, and there was a nice garden area with seats (when it wasn't raining). Have to admit that the bed and pillows were a little in need of replacement. the local hotel was great and it was only about 15 mins drive to the concert venue. Breakfast at $40.00 per couple was a bit exy, but pleasant.... More

We were travelling towards the Blue Mountains and had come from Port Macquarie when we reached Branxston and getting very tired after a very warm day. This motel was a need to stop and refresh. The $125 overnight stay was a bit expensive for a simple motel which didn't have the fridge switched on to put our esky drinks and... More

Needed to stay in Branxton for a family gathering on a Saturday night. I found this motel to be EXTREMELY expensive for what was provided. The rooms were old and tired and would benefit greatly from refurbishment. The bed covering left the mattress exposed which is not a good look. Sleeping on the only bed in the room was like... More

Branxton House Motel is clean, fresh and well appointed for amenities. Reception staff was friendly and courteous. Gave us a meal special for local pub. Was great value for the room.. Only thing wrong-The fridge was not turned on and milk was not supplied. The family beside us did not have a verandah and we heard every conversation when they... More

Usually go to the Hunter each year as part of a mediaeval festival just down to road, and like having a proper bed and hot shower, rather than the camping thing. Bed was comfortable, shower was hot and decent pressure, TV could be mounted lower on the wall to prevent having to crank neck to watch.

Little tired, shower door loose and noisy old air con/heater. Better rate by phoning ahead than off the Internet, host seemed disinterested when checking in. Could be better with a little more effort, ok room and stay.

We stayed at Branxton House Motel from the 23rd to the 26th December (3 nights) to spend Christmas with family and paid nearly $500. We had to pay $300 on booking and the rest before we even saw our room. The room was nice and clean, but there was no room service after booking in. There was no milk in... More

We are terribly sorry for your unhappy experience in Branxton! For long stay guests during weekend and public holidays, room service on request by simply flip on "please make up my room" on the door, to give guests plenty of privacy. Problem is our staff probably forgot to mention to you. And our reception is open everyday all year round,... More

I didnt pre book accommodation as I usually do for my show trips and got caught out with nothing avaliable in singleton or surrounds. I headed to Branxton with a view to staying in cessnock which i knew... More

Great value for 7 people for 2 nights. Beds were comfy and room was clean, only the shower was a bit mouldy. Friendly staff. The town its self didn't have much in it. When we wanted to eat we drove the 20 minutes into Cessnock. Overall a nice experience and wouldn't mind staying there again if I'm in the the... More

This is my third stay at the Branxton House Motel, and I will be back again for a fourth visit in the not too distant future. It is really well situated for exploring the Hunter Valley, and only a short but pretty drive to the Pokolbin area. Stayed in room 7 this time, nice and roomy, clean and comfortable. Road... More
