We stayed at Georges for our wedding anniversary and it was fantastic! It started with a complimentary room upgrade which came with a fantastic view of the bay, a very clean, spacious and comfy room with all the posh amenities. our host Peter, who's worked there for many years, personally planned our weekend suggesting plenty of wineries and eateries for... We've stayed in the room number 2 for two nights. The room was so clean, quiet and comfortable, the view was fabulous and the fire place was what we were looking for in a cold winter. I wish we could also order food for lunch or dinner in the place because the lounge room was so great and the breakfast... More

Received exceptional customer service from the host through to housekeeping... already told all our friends and family about your awesome breakfast. Keep up the great work, thank you for making our stay as relaxing as the last time and the tips where to eat. We had beautiful weather, considering it was winter! We will be back for our wedding anniversary.

We loved the location, our room, the comfortable bed and the well equipped bathroom. Another plus is that is next to a grand old pub where we had a marvelous meal. HOWEVER - We were looking forward to having a glass of wine by the fire in the lounge (as mentioned by previous guests and in the B&B's handbook) but,... More

Great location, close to some great vineyards and restaurants. The room was beautifully appointed, and the fire created a lovely ambiance. Would also highly recommend the breakfasts, they were delicious!

We've had the privilege of staying at Georges twice now, for two, two night stays on both occasions, early on its life & more recently & it has just got better! The host Peter, always warmly personally welcomes you like a long lost friend to Georges & introduces you to your suite or room depending on your booking. Often he'll... More

Georges on Arthur is an incredible place to stay. It is set in an amazing location on top of Arthurs Seat. The hosts were incredibly friendly and very knowledgeable, all of their recommendations were exceptional. Georges itself is incredibly warm and inviting and the breakfast was to die for. Highly recommend, we will be coming back!

This is by far the best Boutique hotel that we have stayed in across all of Australia. The standard of the hotel is incredible and the welcome was very warm. The breakfast in the morning was the crowning glory, it was brilliant. We will certainly be visiting this hotel again and will be recommending it to our friends.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
A place where tranquility meets modern luxury - welcome to this unique contemporary B&B. Just over an hour from Melbourne, George's Boutique Bed and Breakfast at Arthurs Seat is located on the idyllic Mornington Peninsula. Your Mornington Peninsula accommodation here is a stone's throw from award-winning wineries, quality local produce, world class golf courses, marine activities, art galleries, walking tracks and natural spa treatments. The base for your stay is an architecturally designed masterpiece. The stunning Port Phillip Bay views from the balcony alone make the stay worthwhile. George's isn't just another B&B. George's hosts an exclusive gourmet cooking school retreat. The retreat runs periodically throughout the year, catering from beginner to budding chef extraordinaire. We run intimate group settings, 8 per group, so you will always have access to our master chef instructor. Each retreat will have its own theme, perhaps with a Tuscan or Moroccan based feel selecting the finest produce from local markets. When you're not cooking up a storm maybe a spa treatment or round of golf might interest you. Whatever your taste our themes are sure to satisfy! Inside, local art lines the walls among boutique style modern furnishing and your sanctuary away from it all is completed by king size beds with crisp white linen (Egyptian cotton) and a thoughtful collection of pillow fillings. No detail has been left unattended. The invitation is yours - indulgence awaits. ... more   less
