We were booked into here as part of a walking holiday. When we arrived we were asked o leave our boots in a special area which seems perfectly justified. The receptionist spoke excellent English, as did the one the following day. The art works although not to everyone's taste add a quirky something to the hotel. The room was very... More

This hotel is on the Catalonian coast of Spain. Room is average size in European standards. The continental breakfast is ample and a good start before a hike. The people working in the hotel are very friendly and helpful. They have tea and coffee in the sitting room, all day. Dinner in the hotel restaurant was delicious and they provided... More

After a long and tiring walk we arrived at this somewhat eccentric art festooned hotel. After being instructed to shed our walking boots for slippers we were permitted to access our lovely room with a nice view and a state of the art bathroom with a much appreciated whirlpool bath. Although the hotel does have a quite extraordinary dining room... More

Lovely hotel. Beautiful art in rooms and in hallways. Staff is very friendly, and try their very best to make your stay pleasant - more not good in english, either knowledge in french, spanish or catalan is an advantage. Morning buffet is really nice and varied if you arrive before nine. Most get refilled. Nice sea view room and out... More

Stayed here at start and end of a walking trip. The rooms on both nights were comfortable, clean, and perfectly adequate for our needs. We wanted to eat at the hotel's beachside restaurant but this seemed to be an usual request by the response. We had read the previous reviews about the management response to walking boots - but we... More

Comfortable but strangely decorated room. No view and somewhat thin walls. Good breakfast, friendly staff, close to the beach (but not beach-front). The spa predominates the hotel. Overall, a nice place, but not a great value.

Even partial sea view would have been pushing it, this was a big let down when we arrived. We loved the jacuzzi but were not allowed to use it after 9pm. This strict noise reduction policy didn't seem to be very closely policed however, we were kept awake all night by a very noisy couple's activities in the next room.... More

We stayed at this hotel on the first and last day of a walking holiday. Having read earlier reviews from other walkers we arrived with some trepidation regarding the welcome. We can only say that it appears the hotel have read the reviews and acted accordingly. We were cheerfully welcomed. Both standard rooms we stayed in had been refurbished and... More

After having transferred from Cap de Creus, as they have the same owners, we were offered a bigger, but dark room. We paid €304 per night. At that rate, you expect good service and well functioning room. To our dissapointment, this was not what we got. The air condition in the room was not able to cool down the room... More

Plus: really outstanding breakfasts; good diners; very close to first-class swimming beach; very friendly staff; does picnics. Con: we had a small and dark room; the dining room is depressing (they do have a sea front restaurant)
