We stayed on a Saturday night, and it is a very nice hotel in an exquisite hilltop setting. Parking is free and ample. However, when we checked in on this warm (near 80 degrees) mid-May day, the air conditioning system had not been turned on, and our room was almost unbearable. With the windows open and a nice rain later... more

We have just stayed at the Parador de Sos del Rey, Catoloico. Sos del Rey is a beautiful and very old walled town high on a hill top with the most amazing views of the lovely surrounding countryside.. To walk around this town it is to walk back in time - it is an incredible experience. Just outside the walls... more

This is the first time we have stayed in a Parador and this one did not disappoint. Although the building looks strange from outside - its a converted medieval castle - the inside and the views make this a stunning place to stay. Staff are friendly and courteous, the room was wonderful with the most spectacular views and a modern... more

We booked this place as a 2 night highlight within a trip around the North of Spain. The views are simply breathtaking from the terrace area (and most of the rooms). The reception guys were really friendly and courteous and the rest of the hotel really is beautiful. But the cafe / terrace / restaurant is absolutely shocking. To say... more

We stayed at the Parador for 3 nights and found it to be of the high standard you can always expect from Paradors, helpful staff, good food, comfortable and well planned bedrooms and bathrooms. Sos del Rey has 3 excellent restaurants and the Parador is one of them! A lovely stay in a pretty and very interesting village. more

I've stayed here before so knew the hotel & village. Both lovely. Sad to say the food provided at dinner was rather poor for the price and not up to the standard I'd expect. Breakfast however was excellent. The views are though fantastic, just find somewhere else for dinner I'd suggest more

We felt like this was a real find. We chose this hotel for two reasons: we wanted to have a "Parador" experience and we wanted to be close to Pamplona for the Feria de San Fermin. Sos del Rey Catolico is a village built on the grounds of a medieval village called Sos. King Ferdinand was born here in the... more

Stayed one night on return drive from Spain through France, to UK. Fabulous hotel & grounds. Lovely setting. A walk through the town is a must. Didn't eat in hotel restaurant as felt prices prohibitive. Found local spanish restaurant instead. Fabulous hotel breakfast. Superb terrace for coffees and spectacular views. Rooms comfortable & luxury bathroom. more

Hotel is in a superb setting; looking down into the calles of the mediaeval town and across the surrounding plains. Rooms were of usual parador standard and the food was excellent. Wandering the narrow streets of the town was like stepping back in time (don't expect shops, autotellers or trendy bars). The nearby town of Sanguesa has a church worth... more

Stayed here for three nights on a trip around Aragón and Navarra. Great setting and wonderful views. Sitting on the terrace watching the sun go down and the vultures flying around was idyllic. Room was nice enough but the ones at the front with unrestricted views would be better. Ours was at the side and did have views to each... more
