If I could give Fontanaro 10 or 10,000 stars, I would. It is a slice of paradise operated by two of the most wonderful women I've ever met and who have become friends for life. Located in Paciano, a small village in Umbria with a population of 1000, Fontanaro is an agriturismo which produces wine, olive oil (Silver medal winner... More

We kept saying "this is paradise". Beautiful villa and gracious warm family who welcomed us into their lives. Alina's cooking class gave us info about their organic olive oil, wine, honey, and local fare, well as a chance to try her methods...and then enjoy the results. We walked into the peaceful medieval town of Paciano most days and look forward... More

We spent 3 nights at Il Fontanaro and our only regret is that we didn't stay for longer! The property is just beautiful and we really felt at home. We stayed in Frantoio and the accomodations were comfortable and well appointed. Alina and Lucia were so welcoming and inviting and we felt like part of their family. They invited us... More

We spent five nights at Leccino, Fontanaro and it was a lovely little cottage in idyllic surroundings. Paciano was great as well - tiny and sleepy but exactly what we wanted. It was absolutely beautiful and a perfect way to start a honeymoon!

We had such a wonderful time here. We spent the best month at Il Fontanaro. Stunning scenery, great villa. Most of all the warmth and welcome from Alina and Lucia to our family. Lovely days eating and wandering the garden. Our son loved it and misses Bacco and Ettore the placid Labradors. Can't wait to go back we were so... More

We absolutely loved everything about our stay at Sangantino, Fontanaro. Our villa had two bedrooms, two full bathrooms, and a full kitchen. The property was located in a beautiful area with absolutely stunning views of olive trees. Lucia and Alina are such wonderful people, they instantly become family. The cooking class was an experience of a lifetime. We just came... More

Lucia & Alina are so warm & welcoming. The only thing better than the views was the cooking class. We made our own pasta & sauces and my favorite, tiramisu. The country setting was so refreshing and relaxing.

We had 5 days at Fontanaro and it was the experience of a lifetime. Lucia and Alina are outstanding hosts. They know how to create a relaxed atmosphere and to make each visitor feel special. The cooking class is not to be missed! It's entertaining, we learned a lot, and had one memorable meal with fun people. The scenery is... More

We stayed at a property off Il Fontanaro, Desiderio at Fonte Girasole, which is still owned and run by the same family. It was our first holiday abroad with our baby and Lucia and Alina could not have done more to make us feel welcome and comfortable. The accommodation, Desiderio was of a very high standard. The decor was really... More
