Spent one night at Lairds Lodge, beautiful boutique hotel. Service was excellent, staff could not do enough for us. As we didn't want to eat the a la carte meal they spent a good deal of time securing us a table for dinner. The room was comfortable and the champagne and chocolates were a lovely touch as we were on... More

What a place. Top marks for everything. We had a large comfortable room, with easy chairs, tables, lamps, and books. The food was the best we have had anywhere - 4 courses of delicious, mouthwatering ingredients, beautifully arranged and we would have loved to have had all 4 courses every night but we just couldn't! Service was excellent too and... More

We spent four days at the lodge over New Year and were impressed by almost everything about it from its location, through to the quality of its rooms and delicious food. But to be honest the thing that most impressed us about the lodge was its people. The Lodge's staff being both professional and warmly welcoming, and prepared to go... More

We were told that the Lodge was full while we stayed there which really suprised us as we were treated like we were the only people there. I'm sure I did see a few others and even shared dinner with them on a couple of occasions but you would have never guessed it from the attentive and individual service. For... More

This is quite simply the most gorgeous hotel we've ever stayed in. We arrived after a short flight from Cape Town to George - and an hours drive. We were greeted by the lovely Miss Thomas (front of house) and immediately handed a welcome glass of cold fizz. After being left to relax a while in the pretty courtyard, we... More

We had 3 nights here, a great place. A superb atmosphere, almost olde world. A lovely log fire roaring in the lounge area, dark wood furniture, a kind of hunting lodge. You are offered pre dinner drinks around 7.30pm before going into the dining room for the evening meal. You can join other people on a long table which we... More

Spent a very memorable evening at Lairds Lodge while doing a road trip down the Garden Route - and it was such a treat. Every staff member is a host and the perfect one at that. On arrival we were met at our car. Miraculously they knew who I was and where I was from and walked us to our... More

We spent couple nights here, very nice place; good breakfast and dinners. Unfortunately in our room there was a bit musty smell which turned out to be coming from wet carpet in front of the French doors - the manager Zayn did look into it and also offered us to change room but as the source was only discovered night... Unlike many hotels or guesthouses, the great staff here really love and know their jobs. As a result there is a relaxed constant inter-action which makes the stay so interesting. In the evening, honeymooners may sit at their own tables, but the fun is to sit on the long wooden table with other guests, and chat. The rooms, the food,... More
