From the moment you are greeted by hand on arrival, this place mesmerizes you.Staff introduces themselves along the way and it is the best service we have had at any of our hotel stay in SA. Dinner was superb and it started with a hot towel to refresh yourself. The room itself was plush and luxurious.the bathroom amenities were not... More

What a fantastic place to stay. The gardens are beautiful. Very homeley, warm and romantic atmosphere. The food is excellent. 10 out of 10 for the chef. But the cherry on top are the staff. Very very professional, friendly and helpful. You guys thank you for your hospitality. Will definitely see you again.

We stayed for 3 nights earlier this year, and had the most wonderful corner room with our own morning and evening entertainment of the local monkey troop who came to play in our own private bit of garden. The room and bathroom we very well appointed and very clean. Lovely soft towels and quality toiletries. We were there for the... More

We asked to purchase a bottle of the Lavender linen room spray before we leave and this was forgotten - sadly - We really would have liked to purchase this from Lairds Lodge :( Is it still possible to get some?

We could not have been more impressed with Lairds Lodge during our two night stay. We arrived on a high after just visiting the nearby Knysna Elephant Park and were greeted warmly with a glass of bubbly and asked about our plans for our stay and advised on what else was popular in the area. The staff were very knowledgeable... More

We have just returned from doing the Garden Route, organised by Trailfinders. Lairds Lodge was an absolute highlight. The warmth of the staff, which was consistent with everyone we met made us feel really welcome and so relaxed, nothing was too much trouble and it was outstanding. We have had good service at most of the other places we stayed,... More

This was a return trip to Laird's Lodge, we had stayed there a few years ago. We were delighted to hear that our room was to be upgraded in recognition of our loyalty, lovely touch! The welcome was wonderful, with glass of sparkling wine and lunch in the courtyard, and we enjoyed the chef's demo before dinner on our first... More

It took us 1 hour to get to our room - another (large) party arrived at the same time. No problem, we sat on the terrace area for an hour, I then started to search for staff to take us to our room,,,,found one, we were not shown around the area or explained anything about room (more on that later.).... Fantastic experience from start to finish. When arrived on first of four nights looked at menu and thought might have made a mistake as the menu was 'not us' but decided to try it and how wrong we were. Every meal was a total joy and when on our last day we didn't 'fancy' the menu they gave us a... More

It is difficult to to underestimate the quality of the accommodation, the food, welcome and service from the staff at The Laird's Lodge; beautiful setting, extremely comfortable rooms and superb food. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff no matter what request was made. The set menu on offer each day by the executive chef added an element of... More
