Our last day in Italy before heading to the airport was in Tarquinia, a lovely village on the Lazio coast. We decided we wanted an old world experience with a small hotel rather than one of the coastal hotels that were much larger. Le Camere del Re peaked my interest as the photographs were so lovely. The photos of the... More

We stayed for 1 night and were given a room that belongs to a separate building. Room was big and clean. But was facing the street with bars and restaurants. Very noisy until 2 am. Internet wi-fi connection was also problematic. If you decide to stay in this hotel (the position is very central and convenient by the way), ask... More

A great place to stay. Made us feel at home. The rooms were beautiful. The hotels was adjacent to a town square with good quality food all around. Would love to go back someday and this is the place I would stay.

Almost everything was perfect. Large room, nice bathroom, friendly staff, good view, very reasonably priced. The downsides were: noisy inside and out (bring earplugs!); breakfast poor (in a nearby café); wifi was random, often non-existent. They got the important things right, they just need to work a little on the rest.

Excellent quality/price relation, very friendly reception, spacious bathroom and a shower with so much water you cannot stand it! :-) Breakfast is included by means of a voucher to a local bar where you get a roll and a coffee or tea. Being in the center of Tarquinia is perfect as there are so many nice restaurants, bars and wineries... More

We had Our first night in Italy this year at this most charming Place. A cosy breakfast at the nearest bar was also included! This is really the way we prefer having our breakfast, when travelling. Nice to watch the town waking up and watching people having their first cup of coffe of the day on their way to work.... More

The management of this small but lovely hotel couldn't have been kinder to us. As we were parking on our arrival at this hotel, we dented our pristine rental car. Jet-lagged and dismayed, we faced losing the enormous sum the car rental company held against any damage. The management totally ignored the chip on the newly-replastered facade of the hotel...
