My wife and I had a great couple of days at Masseria Serralta exploring the fascinating surrounding area, The accommodation was first class and we were made very welcome by Marta in her stunning property. The breakfasts are a great way to start the day with home made produce.

My girlfriend and I stayed for twelve days at this beautiful, perfectly located Masseria in the heart of Valle D'Itria. Masseria Serralta is situated on top of a hill providing a stunning view of the nearby town of Locorotondo (10 min drive) and the surrounding valley. Our trulli (Sandy) was spacious, clean and expertly designed and offered a cooling relief... More

My husband and I stayed in the family trully at Masseria two weeks ago on our honeymoon, and it was absolutely perfect! The trully is simply stunning, very sympathetically restored with beautiful features, all the finishing touches have been carefully thought out and everything has true style and sophistication, yet with a very homely feel. The trulle are incredibly comfortable,... More

We had a wonderful stay at the Masseria. We stayed in the two-bedroom trulli with our friends (another couple) and our stay was perfect. The trulli in itself is splendid and located on the top of a hill overlooking the Itria valley with a beautiful view of Locorotondo. Marta was very charming and hosted us with homemade cake fort breakfast!... More

If you want to stay in a trulli, and a very beautiful one at that, stay here! The complete Masseria has been converted very stylishly. The swimming pool area has been given a lot of thought too & the pool chairs were exceptionally comfortable. Masseria Serralta is deep in the countryside but we love exploring & for that the B&B... My husband and I stayed here tow nights late spring, 2013. Loved it! The view was spectacular. The swimming pool will be a great addition. Marta and her husband were fantastic hosts and very helpful in recommending sites and experiences in the area. We were lucky to have found this place. Beautifully appointed, good breakfast and a comfortable stay. Highly... More

Sadly, we were only able to stay one night at this very beautifully and imaginatively restored trulli. Marta looked after us exceedingly well and provided us with the very best breakfast of our stay in Puglia. Our room was very well equipped with everything that we would need and was light airy and spotlessly clean - a great find!

My wife and I, along with two friends, had a great three-day stay at Masseria Serralta in October, 2013. The apartments are beautiful, clean, spacious, and well-furnished. And in a spectacular setting. It is very close to all of the interesting sites in Apulia and Basilicata. We felt very comfortable there, and hated to have to leave. Curt Ellison, Framingham,... More

We spent 4 nights and loved the light, spacious rooms, the heated floors, tiled bathroom and shower, cooking and eating in the apartment when we didn't want to go out in the evening. Breakfasts were delicious, we loved the homemade jams. Good restaurants in town, excellent and inexpensive local wine at the produce store. We wanted to be out where... More

We chose this B&B because of the excellent reviews and were not disappointed. We had seen our first trulli (conical roofed stone houses typical of the region) earlier in the day and were delighted to be able to stay in one. The property sits high on a hill, at the same altitude as the nearby town of Locorotondo, so you... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Masseria Serralta Bed&Breakfast is a converted old Apulian rural settlement. Situated in one of the highest parts of the Murgia plateau in the heart of Valle d'Itria, it is a remarkable example of a traditional 17th Century trulli complex recently restored. In order to respect the original layout, the B&B is set up for a small number of guests. You will stay in a real trullo - declared heritage sites by UNESCO - caressed by the cooling breeze of the hill. The four spacious suites and apartments are furnished with balance between the tradition and the modern and are in direct connection with the surrounding countryside bordered by walls of dry stones. An outdoor swimming pool is set among the olive trees looking at the below valley. ... more   less
