Like other reviewers have mentioned this hotel is in a great location either for visiting the WW1 sites or if you need a place to stay half-way between Paris and either Germany or Alsace. The hotel is in the middle of a large forest and obviously makes its living by catering to foreign tourists. Our room was spacious enough but... More

We was part of a motorbike club on holiday and this was our first stop for the night after coming to Calais on the Eurostar. This is a perfect one night stay, our room was very clean as was the bathroom. Dinner was excellent and we had a good choice of meals, breakfast was basic but we are used to... More

We choose this hotel as it was a good place to break the journey to Alsace with a reputation for good food. We weren’t disappointed. The room was somewhat compact, but clean and everything in good working order. We were only staying one night, so the lack of places to unpack our cases into was not a problem for us.... More

We were travelling from the UK to Munich and used this hotel as an overnight stopover as we wanted to take a look around Fort Douamont and the Ossuary. We arrived 16th August 2013 and the three of us stayed in two rooms. The hotel has a nice rural location on the outskirts of Vienne-le-Chateau surrounded by trees and the... More

Le Tulipier is surprisingly on the Argonne ridge atop the old German Imperial HQ dugouts, which are apparently still accesible. The Grounds of the Hotel are wooded and well laid out with access from the village of Vienne well lit and signposted. It is a very quiet location and ls surrounded by attractive countryside not far from St Menehoude where... More

I recently booked a room for a colleague of mine for a business trip. The booking was done using the Logis hotel chain web site. We selected the arrival time (23.45) in the dedicated section of the booking page and also wrote a message to the hotel, using the box of the same online form with the right arrival time.... More

We stayed here on our way from Switzerland to the UK. Travelling with our dog it was important to us that we can walk so this place is perfect as it's away from busy roads and out in the countryside but not too far from the motorway. When we arrived we were informed that for €50/per person we can have... More

Based on my colleagues experiences, we stay here overnight during our journey from Czech Republic to Paris. The hotel is surrounded with nice woods. The rooms are big and clean. There is a tee-kettle on the room. Breakfast is standard, several types of cheese and salame, fruit, cereals, pastries. I can recommend this hotel to all.

The hotel: a bit worn down, not quite what it intends to be. (a marvel in the woods) The room: stuffy, worn carpet, curtains hang loose because hooks are missing, and when you roll down the shutter you are welcomed by loads of dead flies clinging to it. The restaurant was OK, although too expensive, despite the waiters conducting themselves... More
