With our group we were abotu the only customers the night we were there. The food was simply magnificent, the rooms perfect and the staff very friendly. Literally the only downside was the bad WiFi but otherwise nothing but praise.

Good value hotel with extremely attentive staff. The owner/receptionist warmly welcomed us ad as I had a car problem she immediately accompanied me to the local garage where she explained the problem to the engineer who solved the issue. Very quiet location in deepest countryside. Room large and comfortable with good bathroom. Free Wifi throughout. Hotel is 10 years old... More

We stopped for one night on our way further south. We had a warm welcome and the staff were helpful. The room had good facilities but would have benefited from some pictures on the wall and perhaps a rug or carpet. The free wifi was extremely good. We had dinner as part of our "demi-pension" booking and the food was... More

The hotel took us at very short notice as we fled an unsatisfactory gite. We had stayed there for one night a couple of years ago, and thought that the food, although good, was not as good as before. The rooms are clean, quiet and comfortable, although the over bath shower with no shower curtain was a bit odd. The... More

Like other reviewers have mentioned this hotel is in a great location either for visiting the WW1 sites or if you need a place to stay half-way between Paris and either Germany or Alsace. The hotel is in the middle of a large forest and obviously makes its living by catering to foreign tourists. Our room was spacious enough but... More

We was part of a motorbike club on holiday and this was our first stop for the night after coming to Calais on the Eurostar. This is a perfect one night stay, our room was very clean as was the bathroom. Dinner was excellent and we had a good choice of meals, breakfast was basic but we are used to... More

We choose this hotel as it was a good place to break the journey to Alsace with a reputation for good food. We weren’t disappointed. The room was somewhat compact, but clean and everything in good working order. We were only staying one night, so the lack of places to unpack our cases into was not a problem for us.... More

We were travelling from the UK to Munich and used this hotel as an overnight stopover as we wanted to take a look around Fort Douamont and the Ossuary. We arrived 16th August 2013 and the three of us stayed in two rooms. The hotel has a nice rural location on the outskirts of Vienne-le-Chateau surrounded by trees and the... More

Le Tulipier is surprisingly on the Argonne ridge atop the old German Imperial HQ dugouts, which are apparently still accesible. The Grounds of the Hotel are wooded and well laid out with access from the village of Vienne well lit and signposted. It is a very quiet location and ls surrounded by attractive countryside not far from St Menehoude where... More
