The Clos Margot is a really cozy, easy and nice place to stay in Champagne. Lots of famous villages near by and some other local historical sights as well. The Libertine - room is excellent, definitely ask for that. Also the price of the stay includes a tour with the Doyard production facilities and cellars - definitely take it and... More

Courtyard parking with small outdoor seating area. Reception hidden behind tasting room. Charming welcome (English excellent) with glass of house champagne. Requested a bottle of their extra-brut for the evening this was ready in an ice-bucket with glasses and stopper, billed at 'takeaway' price, delicious Quality fixtures, fittings & linen. Stayed two nights in the 'Libertine', door leads first to... More

Nice room, nice hospitality, a very goog champagne! Taste the blanc the blanc and you will forget of not being near to a nice restaurant or bar...the rustic room was clean and good. He breakfast was nothing special and the very bad point was not having a good restaurant around. The price is quite high compared for the position and... More

Le Clos Margot is a great little B&B. Our room for 4 was spacious, clean and comfortable - with a very powerful shower!! My only observation is that the breakfast area is a little cramped and (yes I know it is France) lacked variety. Vertus itself is a sleepy place, particularly pre harvest time in August, so do not expect... More

We stayed here for three nights in July. The only downside to the whole stay is that the rooms have no air conditioning so it was very warm on an evening. In fairness the owner had bought a fan and it was safe enough to sleep with the windows open . I have scored it a 5 because the service... More

Excellent, clean room, quirkily decorated. Super breakfast The glass of champagne on arrival was most welcome A word of warning - all the restaurants in the town are closed on a Wednesday evening. The one place we found open was a kebab/pizza place which was so clean you could have eaten off the floor.

Recently enjoyed a one night stay in room 5 on our way to Lyon. Loved the warm welcome and the glass of champagne on arrival! As a previous reviewer has mentioned it is really easy to find on one of the main streets into the town and there is ample parking in the central courtyard which you can drive straight... More

Was booked as a stopover on the way home from the South of France and it greatly exceeded our expectations of a comfortable place to stay. We would recommend the best room it was lovely and spacious and extremely comfortable. But what really wowed us was the lovely family run champagne business, we had a tour of their vineyard and... We stayed in Vertus as a break on our journey further south. La Clos was easy to find being on the outskirts of the town and were delighted to be offered a glass of their own champagne on arrival. The room was simple and clean, the bathroom was surprisingly large for the room. Breakfast was a good choice of breads,... More
