At check in we did not feel welcomed. Property is really dirty and not tidy. Our family Room from the new building was dark (125) but with a good size. Meal was good but rather expensive Breakfast is average (orange juice very bad) Park is nice Free car park is good Few people said hotel is difficult to find but... More

Place is good. This is the place where you get to see real Italy. Downsides : Bad service in restaurant. We were having dinner around 21.00 o'clock on 12/07/14.Male waiters were great. But the lady waiter that served our table was disaster. Not only she could not speak English but further more she did not even tried to make an efforts to understand us... Since we are living near the Italian border we used to visit the area around Lago Maggiore quite frequently. Always having stayed in Villa Porro Pirelli, our last visit was our last to this place. While the interior is still amazing, the guy at the front desk continuously tries to overcharge you. We noted this during our last stay when... More

I liked: 4-star hotel, not expensive at all. The building, the room, the garden, the view, the hills all around. The perfect wifi connection. I didn't like (they are just suggestions for the management staff): I booked a quiet room but I could hear the neighbor snoring also with the TV on. It was a very noisy room: night time,... More

I spent a weekend at Villa Porro Pirelli with my family. We were welcomed by courteous and professional staff. We had two Deluxe rooms with a nice view of the garden and the farther valley, and we had them next to each other (not essential for us, but we appreciated being close). Both bedrooms and bathrooms were clean and well-equipped;... More

If you driving to Venice or Milan this will be the perfect place to stop for an evening or two to get into the mood of holiday. Used to belong to Porro family and get converted into a hotel not long ago. Historical garden and layout at your finger tip. Ok, wifi doesn't work well if I have to pick... More

Very nice place, historical manor with it's own chapel. Very quiet and far from the main road. It's very relaxing. The rooms are nice, with all you need. Beds ok, large and the bathrooms are good but a little bit dark. Could use more lights in the rooms. The breakfast was modest. Fruits and juices are not fresh. Ask the... More

Booked for a group of friends on our way back from a driving holiday to Tuscany. Chosen for the location, private parking and price. Absolutely beautiful building both inside and out. The room we had (and corridor to get to it) left you feeling you were in a chain hotel (albeit a high standard one), which was a bit of... More
