A lovely welcome from Tony who does his very best hosting and makes everyone feel extremely welcome. Lovely room with hairdryer and bath robe which you don't usually expect when staying at a pub/restaurant. Great meal-veggie lasagne and a superb Lancashire breakfast. The hotel is in a beautiful setting and looks over the bay at Arnside. The best thing about... More

We stayed here for 2 nights and can thoroughly recommend this place. The owners and staff are friendly and helpful. The station is only a few minutes walk away and Arnside itself has some lovely boutique shops. I would highly recommend the steak deal on fridays. The room was clean and we had great estuary views.

Stayed in a luxury suite which is advertised as having an estuary and lake view. Our suite was one of the rooms in the barn conversion. You could hear the people in the room above walking about - was very noisy. Thin walls. the suite itself was clean and nicely decorated, however the 'estuary view' was a total let down.... More

I took my Mrs here for a birthday treat. The room was lovely and no complaints there. The owner kept reminding us we had been upgraded but the room we got was the room we booked so I'm not sure why we needed reminding of this. We were looking forward to the Saturday night entertainment but there wasn't any. We... More

I stayed at this Inn most weeks for nearly two years through 2013 &14 while working in the area, Tony, Jeanette and the rest of the staff always made me feel so welcome, nothing was ever too much or a problem and on the rarest of occasions when there was no room available Tony would always make sure he found... I stayed here for one night arriving at 8.25 pm in the evening. Room was very clean although smaller than I expected. Tripadvisor profile for the place states that they have free wifi but there was no signal whatsoever. I wanted an evening meal so I went to the bar at 8.30 pm. When I enquired the staff appeared a... Hi Matt I am sorry that you were not totally happy with the food situation, however on check in, there is a huge display board stating Mon to Thurs that food is not served after 8.15, the kitchen was being cleaned down which is why we were unable to offer you any food, but I understand my staff offered to... We stayed here for 4 nights this week and stayed in the Levens suite which is in the barn conversion behind the pub. We had a view of the end of the estuary from this room. The room itself was stunning. Immaculately clean and lovely furnishings. The estuary is stunning and worth watching the daily tidal wave come in which... More

Staying one night at ye olde fighting cocks, I really wish I could stay longer. The room is superb with the most fabulous view over the estuary. To top it all the chef stayed back to make us a meal which was very good and very much appreciated. I can't say enough good things about this place and can't wait... More

We stayed at this beautiful establishment during the may day bank holiday with our young son & friends. The inn is very charming & full of character & very welcoming set in a lovley location overlooking The Kent Estuary, the views are breathtaking. We were allocated to a family room called "Beetham" & it was very well appointed & very... More

One night stop over in pub with restaurant and rooms. We arrived early but room was ready so we were allowed to check in. We were in one of the rooms outwith the main building, so would avoid any noise from pub which I noticed had live music some nights. The separate, renovated (barn?) rooms were lovely and have been...
