Really enjoyed our stay here. We were given a very warm welcome and the room was out of this world. The toiletries, soft robes and little extras were a real treat and the breakfast was one of the best we've ever had. Will definitely go back.

We stayed at Number 43 for one night: warm welcome on a wet and windy afternoon. The room was cosy and had everything that we needed, including fresh milk and chilled water in the in-room mini bar.Comfortable bed, crisp bedding, luxury toiletries, it was a real treat to stay. Breakfast was beautifully presented and owner, Lesley, was friendly and informative.... More

Just stayed for one night but it was so relaxing, despite the weather! We had a friendly welcome, the room was lovely with a gorgeous view and the breakfast was delicious. Try the Arnside Bakery up the road - so cute and lovely. I'd definitely stay again.

Stayed at Number 43 for one night and it was perfect in every way. Although we checked in earlier than planned, we were greeted with a warm smile and fresh coffee until our rooms become available. We then had the whole place to ourselves, which was an added bonus. The rooms were absolutely immaculate, with great thought put into every... More

Number 43 is a home away from home but does not skimp on luxury. Lesley and her team have thought of everything that might make a trip away special without anything being overbearing or stuffy. A warm welcome and friendly staff, beautiful rooms and bedrooms and excellent food all helped to make our trip to 'get away' from the city... More

Stayed at number 43 for a few nights whilst exploring the lakes. We really enjoyed the b&b experience, from the friendly but not in your face owner. The little extras such as smoothy shots for breakfast. The owner lives a few yards away, so you don't feel your staying in another persons house, or have staff on duty, like in... More

I have never stayed somewhere so beautiful. This is so much more than a bed and breakfast. In a lovely quiet little village overlooking the waters it was the perfect way to spend my birthday. The rooms were beautifully furnished and spacious. Lesley was very accommodating and nothing was too much trouble. We stayed in room number 4 and it... More

This is a boutique hotel not a B+B. The suite was very well appointed and the view from the room was superb. The breakfasts were made to order and served in our room and were excellent. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.

Ok, when you book a trip usually that's it until you arrive... I knew the ratings from previous visitors on Tripadvisor were credible when I received an email - along with a welcome message I received two downloadable documents: 1. What to do if it is raining and what to do if 'the sun has his hat on' 2. Places... More

I booked for two nights at short notice, liked it so much stayed for a third night. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Lovely location, the ambiance of the hotel is delightful. Normally I do not write reviews but this place is exceptional. I will return.
