Le Clos Normand I stayed for three days at this hotel in late may,2015. I was able to get a beach front room and it had a fantastic view of the beach. The rooms were bright and clean. I thought the walls were probably the thinnest of any hotel I've stayed at because of the noise you hear from the... More

The hotel is in a good location for visiting the D Day beaches and museums. All the staff we saw were friendly and helpful. Room was small but clean but be warned that the walls are paper thin! We ate in the restaurant one evening and the food was lovely. We had quite a long wait for our mains and... More

this hotel is really not at a reasonable standard for 2014 travelling: rooms not only too small, bathroom nearly 1,5m², but on top of that no insulated walls at all, so you here everything from the neigbouring room (conversations, toilet, snorking, .... The old fashioned restaurant menu looks good, but very restricted and several items are not even available. We... More

We arrived at this hotel by bicycle after half a day cycling in the rain. We were warmly welcomed and the staff was helpful in drying our clothes. It is in a very nice village overlooking the sea. I did not find the restaurant to my taste however, I am sure that there more restaurants in the area but as... More

We stayed two nights at the Clos Normand during a three-day weekend to visit the Normandy landing beaches. It's a very pleasant hotel, with a nice restaurant. Being that it's right on the beach, and in a well visited area, it's a touch more expensive than what you'd pay for the same hotel elsewhere in France. The rooms and bathrooms... More

We booked the Le Clos Normand just for one night using bookings.com. The hotel was easy to find, as it is located directly at the esplanade of St. Aubin. The welcome was professional and warm-hearted. The look and feel of room 207 (siedeview to the ocean) was maritim (blue and white) and cosy - allthough the room and especially the... More

We were in town for the D-Day ceremonies. This happened to be the first restaurant of a few that we visited that week, and the one to which every subsequent restaurant was compared. Fabulous presentation, amazing food. Not to mention a fabulous patio overlooking the channel. Highly recommended.

I have stayed at this hotel before. This time I was guiding a group of travellers for D-Day 70 and wherever one went in this area, it was full of veterans and people who wanted to pay their respects. The Clos Normand was fairly full but this did not detract in any way. One can sit on the beach terrace... More

Over the last ten years we have returned to this hotel five times for longer stays. And are likely to do so again. The hotel is well located with the boardwalk and beach in front. This allows for long and nice walks and also for a good point for visiting the D-day beaches. The staff is highly professional and friendly... More

We stayed here for two nights while driving the D Day roads. (We didn't see the American cemeteries or a couple of other things due to the government shut down!) The nicest thing about the hotel was that a lovely promenade was right outside of the hotel. Very nice for walking and views. We had a room on the seaside... More
