We booked the Le Clos Normand just for one night using bookings.com. The hotel was easy to find, as it is located directly at the esplanade of St. Aubin. The welcome was professional and warm-hearted. The look and feel of room 207 (siedeview to the ocean) was maritim (blue and white) and cosy - allthough the room and especially the... More

We were in town for the D-Day ceremonies. This happened to be the first restaurant of a few that we visited that week, and the one to which every subsequent restaurant was compared. Fabulous presentation, amazing food. Not to mention a fabulous patio overlooking the channel. Highly recommended.

I have stayed at this hotel before. This time I was guiding a group of travellers for D-Day 70 and wherever one went in this area, it was full of veterans and people who wanted to pay their respects. The Clos Normand was fairly full but this did not detract in any way. One can sit on the beach terrace... More

Over the last ten years we have returned to this hotel five times for longer stays. And are likely to do so again. The hotel is well located with the boardwalk and beach in front. This allows for long and nice walks and also for a good point for visiting the D-day beaches. The staff is highly professional and friendly... More

We stayed here for two nights while driving the D Day roads. (We didn't see the American cemeteries or a couple of other things due to the government shut down!) The nicest thing about the hotel was that a lovely promenade was right outside of the hotel. Very nice for walking and views. We had a room on the seaside... More

We had a great room with sea views from two windows. The room was lovely and warm as was the bathroom,it was a very chilly windy day!! Very good powerful shower. The staff were friendly. We had a very nice meal in the hotel restaurant overlooking the beach. Would love to go back in the summer.

We were in Normandy recently and stayed at Le Clos Normand. Although the room and bathroom were small, it was clean and well located. We had a room overlooking the beach and with the windows open we had a spectacular view. The restaurant serves excellent fare - the desserts are out of this world. The staff were great - friendly... We stayed at this hotel at the end of April 2012, after having visited Saint Aubin Sur Mer last October and staying elsewhere. What a mistake to book with this hotel. We booked via a well known internet site and I specifically requested a sea facing room, but on arrival we were shown a room at the side of the... More

Wonderful stay. Food, rooms and staff were great. Rooms were pretty small but still had a lot of charm, and I can't really complain because the ocean was literally right outside my window, haha. Food was incredible. Staff were very friendly and helpful, always went the extra mile.

The first thing we did when we got to our room (which had a lovely 'beachy' decor) was open the window and let in the smell of the sea. We didn't have a room directly facing the beach but on the side but could still see the water without having to lean out the window too far. The room was... More
