The people were very friendly and helpful. The room was nice, but the bathroom and shower is very old and the shower even had black mildew in between the tiles. The food was very good (I would recommend their calamari strips).

Went here with my boyfriend and stayed for a few nights. The hotel staff is friendly and accommodating. The room was nice and well maintained. Breakfast is included and tasty. Wifi is in the lobby only, not accessible in the rooms. Would recommend to others.

We had an awesome lunch at the hotel. The cocktails are a must as well as the 'fritos'.Our waitress was so friendly and the food came out fast.It can get very busy lunchtime with tourbusses,so get there early.Portions are generous. All in all a great Paternoster find, laid back with a retro charm.

Upon arrival at hotel, no one at reception to receive guests. Rooms very hot, no fans or air conditioning. DSTV channels not fully functional. While watching a channel it is interrupted by someone else changing the channel. Not safe to sit outside on stoep of hotel, too many undesirables interfering with guests. Rooms need a good spring-cleaning. Hotel in general... More

We stayed at Bueno Sera, which is a house belonging to the Paternoster Hotel. The reason we ended up there, is because there was a mix-up with our booking. No apologies from the hotel's side, just pushing the blame onto everybody else! The house was great - 3 big bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and all amenities you may want in a... More

This was my first visit to Paternoster and after doing some research, we read about break ins and petty crime, so we were worried about security if we stayed in a self catering accommodation, so we decided to book at the Paternoster Hotel. The hotel is within walking distance to the beach and we had a good view from our... More

I used to drink there but because I'm black they can't accept black people to buy food and drink there... More

The Paternoster Hotel restaurant seems like a good idea- close to the ocean and crayfish being sold on every corner. Note that we waited 40 minutes for the food, the kids food came 20 minutes after ours and in general the food is tasteless and one leaves feeling ripped off- I have had better food at the corner fish and...
