Oystercatchers Haven is a perfect getaway for some days at the beach in South Africa. The guest house offers a perfect view, is very lovingly designed and people are really friendly. A really great place

Many times SA travellers found this little gem on the western coast. We had a wonderful time staing directly on the beach. A perfect retreat to get a way from everydays worries. Been treated like friends from the beginning and left as feeling part of the family. Surrounded by stunning little restaurants in town a perfect escape.

Beautiful surroundings, clean, neat and tidy and charming people! The beach is just down the hill, quiet and peaceful! The place is decorated with old charm furniture, which make it even more special! Highly recommended!

My husband and I decided to go somewhere different and explore the quieter west coast of Paternoster. I found the Oystercatcher's Haven on various sites, including TripAdvisor. All I can say is it was a recommendation well worth the peaceful, scenic and dining rich experience. The staff were exceptionally helpful making bookings at the top restaurants in Paternoster. Our favorite... More

I am a Travel Agent and had booked clients on numeroues occasions but this was my first visit and it lived up to all the excellent reports I had received over the years. The position on the beach is heaven, the rooms and facilities excellent and we were made to feel very welcome. Its biggest asset, however is its position.

Paternoster was a small fishing village, but it is now a rather unappealing sprawl of holiday homes, albeit situated on 2 lovely sandy bays, and to get there from Cape Town you have cross 150km of hot flat scrubland. We were disappointed in Paternoster – perhaps the flower season is a better time to go? The Columbine nature Reserve round... More

We stayed for two nights at the Oystercatcher's Haven in Paternoster, and decided that this was the nicest room we had had in South Africa - and we had had some lovely ones. Bright, spacious and comfortable with wonderful sea views and, in our case, a private terrace. The host, Wayne, was extremely helpful with dinner recommendations and general info... More

After a very busy December myself and my husband were in desperate need of a holiday. Somewhere to restore the body and mind. Views of the ocean from our bed, hearty breakfasts, evening turn downs and our attentive host Wayne who helped us with restaurant bookings are but a few of the reasons why we would return to this gem!...
