Had the "Aqua" room, ocean view. Breathtaking view of the ocean. Patio door leading out onto the beach, with a few steps. The room was spacious and well equiped. Still in Cape winter, electric blankets was a nice touch. Recommended and enjoyed more than other well known venues in the area.

On the quieter side of Paternoster, much more private than most being positioned on the dune overlooking the little beach ( Cape Town side ). Close enough to walk to village and restaurants etc . Great little boutique guest house, well appointed and quiet.

The location is magic as beach is just in front of the rooms and you can just walk there. the view on the ocean takes your breath away. Breakfast room is uniquely designed and furnitured as well as the rooms. We'll come back.

We just spent two nights here which were a delight: a lovely room overlooking the ocean, all tastefully furnished. Breakfast was great, also in a spacious dining room-cum-lounge which overlooked the beach. Gavin booked us into a couple of great restaurants only a few minutes' walk away. The only thing the guys couldn't organise was the weather....but otherwise this was... More

South African West Coast getaway at its best! 2-3 nights is like being out of the hustle and bustle of City Life for weeks! Gavin, Deon and the team make one so welcome and pre-book you into some of the best restaurants SA has to offer. We have been in most rooms, all having a décor and individual ambiance exceeding... The Red room was absolutely divine, all the public areas perfect with much thought put into every aspect . Wonderful ambience. I must compliment the staff specially Keathlen who is professionally efficient and very friendly. Sydney fixed our television and after a few telephone calls and changing a cable he got us watching cricket. Thanks Gavin for a wonderful stay.... More

We couldn't decide what to do for our 20th anniversary, so we left everything to the last minute. However there were a few things that we weren't looking for...not a hotel room where you feel like you sleeping in a box, must have privacy without feeling isolated! Must have...sea views, stunning location, clean and stylish bedroom. I can confirm that... More

When a friend was planning a getaway for her special birthday she asked me for my suggestions...I gave her a list but in the end she decided on Paternoster because, friends of hers " own a guesthouse overlooking the sea..." I had only been to the fishing village on the Cape's West Coast once before but it left such a... More

Paternoster Dunes is well located and the service is excellent - Gavin and the team did an exceptionally good job! The Red Room is well appointed, clean, and has good access from the street. Recommend the deck for sundowners and the view of the beach during sunset. Gavin's restaurant bookings were also very good, with Noisy Oyster taking the cake... More

We stayed in the separate cottage overlooking the sea. The cottage was 5 star and beautifully presented. It was pure indulgence. The service was outstanding. Gavin made everything happen for our engagement.
