This is a must place to stay if you visit Lincolnshire.the wildlife is brilliant. The owner Barbara cannot do enough for you and the breakfast will take some beating! The rooms are very spacious and comfortable with very good sized bathrooms. The balcony room is beautiful. The bathroom in the Monet room is stunning! A little off the beaten track... More

This is a lovely farmhouse B&B. Our welcome was warm and friendly and we felt we were staying in a friends house. We had a large comfortable bedroom with balcony overlooking the garden and beyond. The breakfast is well cooked and presented, more than enough to get you through the day. If you enjoy wildlife this is the place with... More

We stayed at this very comfortable bed and breakfast when on a cycling holiday. The welcome from Barbara and the quality of the breakfast was so good that we ended up booking to stay again on the way home. Breakfast personalised to your wishes down to the tiniest detail and one of the best we have ever had. The cameras... More

A good venue, right out of the way. A long lane leading up to the house with plenty of wildlife to view. Excellent host. Room nice but very cluttered felt like we were staying in her house rather than a b&b but some people would like this. Excellent beds which reclined, TV, fans, en suite. I felt it was expensive... A delightfully peaceful hideaway with a friendly atmosphere. Good food and spotlessly clean. We were particularly charmed by the birds feeding around the garden to be watched on CCTV. We would recommend the Kirkstead Old Mill Cottage to anyone and hope to return sometime soon.

This is our third visit and, as always, Barbara and co excelled themselves. From the moment you drive up the lane peace and quiet envelopes you and relaxation becomes the theme. Our visit this year was extra special as Barbara has had cameras installed to film the wildlife including two in nest boxes. It was amazing to watch the six... More

My wife Marian and myself enjoyed a recent stay at the Old Mill Cottage and we found it to be the most warm, friendly and welcoming of B&Bs. Barbara immediately made us feel at home where we enjoyed the wonderful garden, the wildlife, the river walks that proved to so peaceful and tranquil, something to see and enjoy around every... A lovely, picturesque and tranquil location for a super little B & B. The setting, down a mile long track away from the mail road means absolutely no noise (apart from the birds dawn chorus). The breakfast was excellent and the choice amazing. We also took the evening meal which we pre-ordered from an extensive menu. This too was delicious... More

My Father and I stayed here, again, at the beginning of the month and yet again Barbara excelled. As always, her hospitality was warm and all encompassing, even to 'remembering' which milk and bread we like. (I know she keeps copious notes but it is still very welcoming.) Thank you again Barbara and crew, we look forward to staying again soon,... More

Just got back from our second visit to Barbara and Co. Only a year has passed, but I'd forgotten the amazing attention to detail and the feeling of being completely spoilt. Nothing is too much trouble. This year we were lucky enough to see a tawny owl and that really was the icing on the cake! Thank you all for... More
