The refurbishment of the hotel lobby is completely out of character with the hotel, has isolted the reception staff and makes the hotel most unwelcoming. It also shows up the drab abd tatty appearance of the rest of the public rooms. more

Fantastic value, newly renovated hotel has a fantistic bar/ lobby area that really manages to rival other higher star hotels in city areas. Similar expereince for the rooms. Somewhat surprised after reading some of the other reviews, but obviously the renovation for the most part has been finished. Definately will return. more

We have just returned from the New Year's Eve Function held at the Golf Hotel. The Gala Dinner, fireworks and 60's Band were excellent and good value for money....BUT... the service was very, very poor and the attitude of the majority of the staff left a lot to be desired, although the proprietors were friendly and helpful. After booking and receiving an upgrade over the telephone, as a young couple we were looking forward to a break away which we had been saving up for. We were bitterly disappointed upon arrival. Hotel looked a bit faded, but it was great value, the staff were friendly, nice room and bathroom and good breakfast. Great value for money and a great location if you like Woodhall Spa and the surrounding area. more

Booked this hotel as it was only one with rooms in area (wonder why?). Hotel looks shabby from outside and inside. Money is being spent on bedrooms, but not enough.
