Perfect place on the beach. Clean, comfortable individual places to stay, one level, AC if you want, a very nice shower, beautiful beach, great food at the restaurant. We are still talking about the grouper with garlic sauce, months later. Definitely the place to go to relax away from the city. Felt like I was in a movie. My daughter... More

Anomabo was a great place to relax. Beautiful beach, spacious cabins and comfortable beds. Positives: The beach is a big plus. Absolutely stunning. Restaurant is right on the beach. Food is decent, but if you are in the area without a car, you are stuck eating at the restaurant for all meals (unless you take a taxi, which is a... More

We loved our stay here as the chalet style rooms were unusual and afforded privacy in a charming setting. The coast is fantastic and the crashing waves are romantic and picturesque. It's relaxing to sit in the restaurant at the waters edge drinking freshly squeezed pineapple juice listening to the sea. It's a bit difficult dragging the cases through the... More

Rates are reasonable, rooms are clean, beach is usually clean, and breakfast gets you going. I have taken six mission teams to this place over the past ten years for a couple days of rest before going home while visiting Elmina and Kakum National Park. The last place to shop before going to Accra is the gift shops at Cape... More

The Anomabo Beach Resort is a sprawling compound with varied rooms. Sand is everywhere; so in order to get from one place to another, you will get dirty. Palm trees are placed in neat sections, some with coconut boundaries. The huts are very pleasant; though the bed is very hard. The huts have a lot of space, so if you... More

Great place that we have been visiting since it first opened many years ago. We travel with school groups and are always made welcome. The lifeguards are fantastic and watch our students carefully whenever they are swimming. Beach front villas are just that, right on the beach.

We went there from Accra using what's locally called a "ford bus". It IS a "ford" bus. It has AC, transports 12 people and costs 7 Cedis from Accra to Cape Coast. It leaves from specific areas as soon as it's full. It's fast (~2.5 hours), sometimes maybe too fast. The return driver did not make us feel safe. The... More

This is a very nice beach resort. The beach is beautiful and an interesting fishing village a few hundred metres away. The locals walk buy occasionally selling things but no hassling (in general Ghana is very good for this in comparison with many other African countries). My room was large and spotlessly clean with a comfortable bed. The food was... More

This is a clean, quiet, and relaxing place to stay. We stayed at this hotel as a base for day visits to Nzulezo, Kakum, and Elmina. We got a beach-front "hut" which was sufficient and met all of our needs. It had a large bed (though no mosquito net), table, a/c, and bathroom with shower. Because there were 3 of... More

I went to Anomabo, departing from Accra, to spend the week-end with some friends. At our arrival, we realized that the reservation had been taken with a random name, but it wasn't a big deal, we succeeded to have our rooms that were very clean, confortable and pretty. Before leaving Accra, many friends suggested me to eat basic food in... More
