Well the young lady who dealt with the booking was very polite. We were given the key for our room and was told that to access the room we needed to use the fire escape that is in the car park. We found our Room (2), to find that this was not on-suite as expected. it was small with mismatched... More

When you see rooms available above a pub thats exactly what it is, however it doesn't explain the great people who work here and the great people you meet here. Make sure you go and enjoy a pint and meet the locals as well as enjoy Dave the Chef great meals (I recommend the Breakfast!). Always showing the sport which... More

Very tired and somewhat battered furniture - but bedding was clean and shower/ hot water good. Small t.v. ( decent reception) + tea/coffee making kit provided. Small electric fan in room - much appreciated as room hot due to weather. Basic " builders" fry up for breakfast - sugar already put in tea and and toast already buttered on side... More

I knew this was not going to be the best place to stay from the reviews but it was the only bed within walking distance from a family party - despite the poor reviews it really did shock me. The room was tiny, dirty, stuffy, hot and very noisy on a main busy road without even a bedside table. The... More

Very small room (nowhere near as big as the one in the photos). Rather old and dinghy, no hairdryer, no bath and most uninspiring. There is a strange smell as you climb the outside fire escape and enter the building. BUT its not expensive, there is a large and cheerful bar downstairs and the staff were obliging and friendly. A... More

This property provides very basic accommodation. Access to my room was via the fire escape in the car park at the side of the pub. The bathroom was very small. Seemed like an after thought for the room. The room was clean except for under the bed where there was an old sock and dirt. Seemed like it had not... More

Hi there, We ended up staying in the double which other reviewers have mentioned, with the shower in a wardrobe accessed via the fire escape. Personally, these things did not bother me and everything was functional and provided us a comfortable stay. We went to a wedding at the Brooklands Motor Museeum nearby, and at 2 in the morning it... This is a no-nonsense establishment that provides acceptable pub grub and drink, and extremely basic accommodation. If you are looking for anything more than the bog standard basics, then look elsewhere.

My partner and I attend a SoulNight Disco nearby on a regular basis, normally stay at the Holiday Inn @ Shepperton, but all the Olympic Cycle Enthusiasts had booked early, so we took a chance and booked here. Well the room is accessed from the Fire Escape in the Car Park, and then through a myriad of doors to ones... More

Unfortunately, we had a very disappointing stay. The bed was hard, squeaked each time i turned over, there were actual stains on the sheet. The room was not very clean, and the en suite bathroom, which in fact was in a type of cupboard, had hair round the plugs, splash marks on the back of the door, which in fact... More
