Just come back from a week at the Il Giglio. The rooms are basic, provided with an old tv, standard shower & decent beds. The hotel is in the heart of corinaldo & the best way to get around is by car. The only problem is that the hotel does not provide breakfast on site & you have to go... More

Nice old Monastery but the door to our room did not close properly. There is no a/c and despite the fact they said they provide fans we had great difficulty obtaining one. Only after we threatened to leave because we could not bear the 39 degree temperature did they locate a fan somewhere. There was only one young lady on... More

I stayed in this hotel last summer as part of a cycling trip. Rooms are spacious and my room had a great view over the beautiful landscape. The interior is outdated and not very clean. Breakfast was of, staff was lovely and very helpfull.

Incredibly nice village and fun to stay in an old monastery, which is worth a visit. But terrible as hotel. The breakfast wasn`t good and they served rotten fruit and dry cakes. Coffie ok. The rooms were clean and the beds were like cheap Ikea guest beds ... Can not recommend this hotel.

We spent only one night in the hotel Giglio on our way to Venice and liked it very much. The room was very big, spacious and clean; the staff was very friendly; the breakfast was good enough for adults and for kids. The hotel is located inside a wonderful old city of Corinaldo, we enjoyed walking in the city as... More

I just wanted to say that our visit at the hotel Giglio was everything we wanted...it offered a historic atmosphere and a private setting for my daughters beautiful Italian wedding. For those people who were expecting an Americanized best western feel and food ...you would be disappointed. The people were phenomenal. Everyone helped us with our Italian and we helped... More

What a disaster! The only positive comments that I can make is that the staff was very friendly, even though not well trained. We choose this hotel because it was close enough to Ancona and the ferry to Croatia to leave in the morning after the “sumptuous” breakfast and get to the ferry dock. And also they advertised free parking.... More

My wife and I stayed at Il Giglio for four days. We throughly enjoyed our stay and found the hotel to be beautiful with a minimalist style which we both enjoyed. Staff we really friendly and veyr helpful - the receptionist spoke good English although all staff we very gracious as we attempted to speak very poor Italian! Breakfast was... More

Corinaldo is a beautiful little gem of a town, very small, but charming. The hotel is a former convent. The rooms are large, but spare. The church bells ring every 15 minutes from 8 in the morning to 11 p.m. The breakfast is simple, but ample, with some baked goods; the setting is a courtyard, which is attractive. No a/c,... More

The hotel had a real WOW factor when entering - reminiscent of a boutique/design/style hotel with a real comtemporary feel in the lobby/reception/bar (complete with beautiful Philippe Stark furniture) Excellent, friendly staff who were more than willing to help in every way that they could. The wow factor continued with a magnificent stairwell and vaulted corridor to the rooms. The... More

Thank you for the positive words. We know that we have to work at the rooms. We run this hotel only since July 2008. We 've started to give a good look at the bar, the hall and the courtyard with these Kartell furniture and the 50' s inspired design sofa. We really hope to remake as soon as possibile also the...
