We loved this hotel! Very affordable. CLEAN! The rooms have everything you need. Comfortable. Friendly and helpful staff. Great location for the Bastei Bridge attraction. The restaurant was excellent! Go for the venison goulash. Breakfast was also enjoyable, a well balanced spread. A spectacular value!

We stayed here only for 1 night whilst walking in the region. The receptionist who showed us to our room spoke excellent English, and informed us of evening and breakfast times, plus information of local area. We decided to eat in the Hotel and was not disappointed with the excellent service and quality of the food. Breakfast exceeded expectations; a... More

A massive bedroom with a tiny bathroom - room 102 - with the world's tiniest bin, about 6 inches high - very sweet! Very quiet, also very light. No hairdryer. Very generous breakfast especially cheeses and dried fruit. Wifi didn't work. We lent out of the window and watched the steady stream of people starting their ascent on the Bastei.

We were just in the restaurant, not in the hotel. We ate the Forelle 'Müllerin' and it was to die for. So tasty and fresh and..just lovely. The best fish of my live. The salad was ok, potatoes good. Service good.

Visited hotel twice in a week. Lovely setting, clean, good local food, service indifferent at times. Still worth a visit. Try also local schnapps distillery on banks of Elbe. Hotel computer may be infected with virus/ trojan

More

Know the area, GPS failed us on first try. Follow the Hotel RED route signs. A great hotel, with good food, great location for hikes, walks, coffee stops, and a jump off point to visit local villages. Walk to ferry to cross the Elbe, catch a steamer to Dresden and back or visit Czech Republic a few kilometers away. Transportation... More
