The Hotel Merkur is not in the center of Landstuhl, so I was a little unsure if we made the right choice. I know now we will not stay anywhere else! We had one of the apartments the hotel offers which is clean, comfortable and all of the amenities of home (washer/dryer, full refrigerator, etc.) It even has a lovely... More

The primary reason for getting a hotel room is to have a place to rest, right? When I arrived I noticed the bedding was a bit unconventional; atop the mattress was a fitted, rubberized sheet, then a typical linen sheet, then a comforter. I did not like the feel of the rubberized sheet so I slept on top of the... More

Spent 2 weeks at Hotel Mercury and I can honestly say that I have never had a better experience. Clean, very friendly and convenient. Garrett, Sonya and Michelle were superb hosts. The chef was fantastic. Choosing to stay here will not be a mistake.

I can't speak highly enough of all the staff at the Merkur! All so friendly and speak excellent english. Of particular note, Michelle, who was at the front desk and in the resturant provided many many rounds of laughter - what a dear sweet person. The breakfast is wonderful with so many options... if you go away hungry it's not... More

We have stayed in this hotel many times over the last 7 or 8 years and always get a friendly warm welcome from the young owner. You get an almost immediate email response to your booking. Since last May the hotel rooms have been further updated: new mattresses, carpets, chairs and been repainted when they were already in a better... More

Very nice hotel, they are very accommodating. The German hotels have strange internet rules as I have found. This hotel is good with the amount we could use, 10Gb. Location is a bit tricky to get to, but not too bad. The breakfast is good but the only issue I have is the smoking allowed in the lobby/lounge area. The... More

Convenient to both Ramstien and Landstuhl and the price is about what i expected. Breakfast was included in and well worth it. When on post lodging is full this is where I will be staying from now on.

The quality of "lodging" in the Kaiserslautern Military Community varies wildly, and although the Hotel Merkur is not the least expensive place in the area, they deliver great quality and excellent customer service. Everyone on their staff speaks English, and works with each guest to ensure complete customer satisfaction. They are pet-friendly, and have a very nice fitness center. Also,... More

What can you say - it does everything it says on the packet. Clean, convenient, food good, no problem getting access at night. It's near an air base and the Autobahn but the sound insulation means you'd never notice. Worth a stay.

My husband and I recently visited Germany and France courtesy of a military flight. We landed at Ramstein Air Force Base exhausted and hungry. Since the lodging on base was fully booked, we needed a place nearby where we could rest and get our bearings. Hotel Merkur, located very close to the base and just off the autobahn, was a... More
