We went there on the last day before the second corona-lockdown and enjoyed a good meal. The service was very friendly and quick - the beer tasted good. We were very pleased with our visit there. So very sad they had to close :-(

we stayed there already two times, find it quite quiet and "value for money" to spend night traveling in those parts of the world. beware that you have to check in before evening!!! and payment in advance!

Seven of us stayed here for a couple of nights. On the positive side the food and drink were thoroughly enjoyable and the rooms were very clean. The negatives were rather small rooms and somewhat too intimate double beds, but overall a great deal. We'd happily stay again.

This old typic brewery is a good place to visit and overnight for a night. Rooms are old but the overall cleaning is ok. We stay the night for the lunch and quality of the food was great as well as the Weizen beer .

We prebooked an overnight stay on our return to the UK after our holiday in Austria. We found this place in a very handy booklet that describes all of the independent brewery guesthouses in Germany. This is really a nice old and quaint hotel. The rooms are more than adequate and the bathroom is well appointed. As there was a heat wave on at the time, the temperature in the room was in the mid 30's, but the lovely staff here let us use a fan which allowed us to have some sleep. Breakfast was lovely (coffee was marginally weak, but that's a thing of personal preference) Rate we paid was excellent. Recommended

Cool stop on our way to Heidelberg. Excellent food and beer. Staff was really friendly. Room was ok, but little bit too small for a family with children.

If you want to get the feel for being in Germany (rather than anywhere in the world) & don't mind being out of town, this is a stop worth looking at. The hotel is part of a traditional brew pub which associates with the Dachsenfranz, a local traditional character who lived in the woods. Its brilliant. Rooms are good but not ultra luxurious. Decent bathroom, bed etc. & smoke free. The attraction is being able to eat and soak up the atmosphere in the bar & restaurant downstairs. There is a "cave" dimly lit or a smarter restaurant area if you want a meal. Food was good and the beers were excellent & all produced onsite. There's even a pretty village with ATM, Post Office, bakery etc to wander round in the morning. Downsides to the accommodation were the TV, which didn't easily work & the local church bells. Though wonderful, the latter do go off at 6am which after a few beers can be a little early for comfort!…
