I spent 3 very enjoyable days staying at the zum Weyssen Roessle where I was made to feel very welcome by the proprietors, Rose & Ulrich. Rose in particular was very helpful and provided me with much useful information about the area. Incidentally Schiltach is a delightful and very picturesque village. I had 3 very good evening meals at the... More

We were welcomed very warmly and Rose the owner went out of her way to accommodate us. The rooms and amenities are very comfortable. Particular personal care is taken with all aspects of the hotel. Rose is always on hand to recommend or help in any way. This was a great central place for a central hub to explore the... More

A belated review on a European road trip we were on last year. We arrived late at night which wasn't a problem for the wonderful Rose. What an amazing woman! She welcomed us with open arms even though she was obviously in the midst of her cleaning routine (which was outstanding by the way!). We were showed to our room... More

Our stay at the Gasthaus zum Weyssen Roessle was an absolute delight. I had been searching for a central hub to explore the Black Forest and had come upon Roessle. I am so thankful I did. It is a quaint guest house with few rooms and attentive service. The husband and wife whom run the Roessle ensure that you are... More

Despite the fact that we arrived very late, we were very well taken care of right from the second we arrived. Rose made us feel very much at home and took great care in showing us the special spots around town and surrounding areas. She gave us maps and really took the time to make us feel like family. Her... More

What an amazing place to stay. Rose, the host, was every so helpful with everything. There was nothing too much for her to do and she had so much advise on what do in the area. The hotel is stunning - so beautiful inside with so much character. It feels like you've stepped into another world. The food is incredible.... More

My Friend and I stayed here for two nights last week and absolutely loved it! Our room was immaculately clean, the breakfast amazing, and Rose and her husband where just so helpful! Rose helped us plan our stay in Schiltach, which is such a beautiful town, and was great to have has a base to explore the Black Forest. It... More

Well, we arrived late, to be greeted by Rose, the proprietor. What a lovely lady. She met us after a long drive and couldn't have been more helpful. She was busy cleaning when we arrived and she came straight out to the car to offer her help to get the bags in! She showed us to our room was amazing!... More

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights in July, coming over the French boarder and driving towards the Alps. Schiltach is an excellent base for exploring the Black Forest, a pretty little town at the crosspoint of two streams and plenty of places nearby for exploring. The guesthouse is a very typical small German hotel, but... More
