A small family hotel about three km out of the town. It is on the road but the rooms are quiet. We had dinner at the hotel restaurant which was good and the service was excellent. However, the breakfast the next morning was poor.

My boyfriend and I visited Schiltach in the Summer of 2014 while we were taking a road trip through Bavaria. We had made plans to go zip lining near Schiltach, but we had not made any reservations for the night before. We arrived in Schiltach at around midnight and the town was quite. All we needed was a place to... More

We stayed here several nights (3? Trying to recall) in April, 2013. It is a lovely place, complete with garden. The room was comfortable and had a beautiful view of the garden and mountains/forest behind it. The hostess was the best part! She had the best personality - always smiling. I love the fact that it's been in their family... More

We arrived at the hotel in the evening without a reservation and were advised that there was only one room left. We looked at the room and decided it was quite nice - facing the main road. Unfortunately we were not aware that one of the windows was broken and with no double pane windows it turned out very noisy.... More

We couldn't have been happier with our room, but the hospitality of Petra (hostess, waitress, chamber maid, gardener and everything else) who is always cheerful and helpful made the visit truly special. When we asked one night for black forest cake for dessert, it was sadly all gone. To our surprise, on the final morning of our visit, big slices... More

Ideally placed as a base for exploring the Black Forest this family run business scores well against any yardstick. Our nicely furnished room had a large balcony, with table & chairs, overlooking the very pleasant beer garden, children's playground and forested mountains. The Landlady is welcoming, courteous and friendly. The menu is provided in English & French versions making selection... More

When I arrived feeling rather unwell in mid May Petra provided us with a very quiet and comfortable room with balcony away from the road and overlooking a beautiful garden and mountains. Her thoughtfulness during our 3 day stay was much appreciated. We enjoyed our visit to this picturesque and beautiful part of the Black Forest exploring Shiltach, Hexenloch, Triberg... More
