Lovely owners run a Gasthof, which is in the same family for 150 years. The place is super clean, comfortable and in a style, which has nothing artificial - simply a style which one would like to see in the Black Forest. The value for the price is incredible and they have breakfast, which totally reminds me my childhood. I... More

We needed a night's accommodation on short notice for our visit to the Strasbourg Christmas Market. What a delightful, modern, yet quaint Gasthaus in the perfect location. Easy access from the A5, excellent breakfast, wonderful rooms with bath. Even though we came on perhaps the busiest night of the year (Christmas parties) the hosts were impeccable and very accommodating. We... More

I stayed here for one night in October driving from Holland to Genoa in Italy. The hotel lies just off the A5 on the German side of the border with France near Strasburg. Pretty and typical family run small hotel. Friendly and helpful staff who speak English. Very clean and tidy room (actually two rooms even though I booked a... More

We stayed here on our way to Italy from Rotterdam. Dead easy to find with parking plentiful. Sadly the restaurant was closed when we went (I imagine the chef was having a deserved holiday!) but we were recommended the very good Landgluck nearby (short walk) which was lovely. The room we had was very large, No 1, though I can... More

In the centre next to the church (kiming from 07. am) is this charming family run guest house with wonderful gardens and terassed dining areas in summer. The best service we have ever had (truly) from staff of young girls and owners. Mr. Lott as head chef and mrs. Lott holding it all together with love. Food was great althoug... More

This is a must stay destination for anyone travelling to the Black Forrest and/or heading south from Frankfurt looking for a comfortable, clean, affordable and friendly accommodation. Proprietor and Head Chef Karl-Heinz Lott has trained under some of the finest Michelin chefs in Europe and arguably runs a top 3 restaurant in a 100km area radius, which includes Strasbourg /... Nice gasthof, good rooms and perfect place for a stop on the route to the south. Restaurant is lovely. Good food, nice winelist with a lot of wines by the glass or carafe. The only (very)disturbing thing is the church! Bell's ring every quarter and with more noize on the half and whole hours. Ask a room on the backside!

Just a few miles over the border from Strasbourg, this gasthof is a wonderful place to stay. If visiting Starsbourg I would recommend it. If you are visiting the Black Forest I would recommend it. And if you are in the Baden wine country I would recommend it. Everything was just right at this family owned Hotel and we have... More

Stumbled on this gem on the internet. It was even nicer in real life than in photos. Proprietors were friendly (and English-speaking). Rooms were clean and comfortable. Fast internet available. Unfortunately, we visited on an evening when the restaurant was closed, but breakfast was quite nice.
