We went to Cap au Leste on the Tuango coupon and loved it. We had great weather which helped of course. The food was good and the snow shoeing a lot of fun. My one bit would be to say 'pay attention to the details'. The reception was rather cold and not very welcoming and the few other minor details.... More

We spend 3 days there over Xmas and had a good time. Rooms are nice although not 'luxurious'. Restaurant is good with an incredible view on the fjord. Outdoord activities are really convenient (skidoo and dog sleds on site). It's not a 5 star resort, it's more for the outdoorsy people (eg:10 minute walk in the freezing cold to access... More

Getting There: If you have ever been to a camp when you were a kid, this place will take you back to those times, for better or for worse. The drive up the Saguenay was nice with good roads; however, we were not prepared for the 7 km of very bad washboard, potholed, rock filled, twisty, up and down access... More

Pros: The location is amazing and we could see the Fjord right from our room. The view of the fjord during sunset was amazing from the balcony. Check in was quick and the room was clean and ready, although there was a bit of stain on the tub. Cons: The drive to the hotel is a challenge as you will... More

Most beautiful location, excellent cuisine, fantastic manager and staff! Sublime 'once in a life-time' experience!!! Will also be very charming in winter! Fam Verwaerde - Belgium Tip: check when booking the accommodation and location of the room.

The place is nothing like I’ve ever seen before. I’m used to stay in city center hotels, and I wanted to go back to someplace closer to nature. The staff is very friendly (Manon was really helpful at the front desk!) and the diners we had were amazingly good (and served hot!). Our room was neat and clean, beautifully decorated... More

Thought about writing two reviews for this place, one to cover the accommodation and one to cover the food but chose to rate overall because there isn’t a lot of choice but to eat in. The location is stunning and the views stupendous. Some fine walking too, though in Bund’s not so humble opinion the Sentier Du Phare is well... More

Dear MorrieBund, Thank you for taking the time to write a review about your stay at Cap au Leste’s. We are glad to read you enjoyed both the views and your room. Concerning the noise from adjacent units, we want to highlight the fact that we chose to keep the wooden constructions instead of pouring concrete on a natural landscape.... More

I went to Cap au Leste with friends for one night. We I called to inquire about the place I did mention that we were riding Harley Davidson bikes. Good thing to do because the front desk employee told me that the road was "doable" by bike, but not fun at all. Thus, I was not surprised about that bumpy... More

The previous reviews do capture the positives and negatives. The location is 5 miles off the main road on a dirt track But it is worth the drive as the views are magnificent from the rooms. The rooms are wooden, rustic, clean but let down by unnecessarily cheap fixtures and fittings. For example the shower worked well but was fixed... More

We stayed with our children for 2 nights in august. Even if the place was crowded we did get a great service and meal at Cap au Leste. The real taste of French cuisine in Canada. Dinner was excellent with many local products superbly prepared by the chef. Our room was a bit small for the four of us, but... More
