Having read lots of great reviews of this small cl type campsite we decided to make it our base for 6 nights recently whilst visiting this area. It was absolutely charming and the owners Stu and Syb went out of their way to make you feel welcome. The facilities are a little rustic and could do with an update but... More

Just spent another week at Le Chant, admittedly it had been a while, but it was just like coming home. A warmer welcome would be hard to find, a very welcome cup of tea on arrival, great hosts as always. Two lovely meals cooked by Syb and one pizza night yummy. The weather was very kind to us and we... More

Spent a week at LCDO campsite being looked after by Stu and Syb. Great site with amazing facilities - the barn and camp kitchen all made for a great atmosphere. We really enjoyed the meal night, pizza night and the impromptu bbq. Small camp site in the country - quiet (except for all the owls hooting!) with fabulous skies at... More

Our family of four, including girls of 13 and 8, had an absolutely fantastic time at Le Chant d'Oiseau. We stayed in the gite Heron for a week, but also spent time with a big bunch of very happy campers for the special meal nights. Location: superb. Facilities: brilliant. Things to do in the area: too many to mention. Fellow... More

We arrived home last week after 2 weeks at Le Chant. This was our second holiday there, our first was in a caravan, this time in the ground floor Gite- Heron. We were fortunate enough to be there for the owners 10 year anniversary of owning the site and they had planned a week of brilliant parties and a games... More

Another fabulous 3 weeks spent at the best campsite in France! Weather was excellent, fellow campers were great company and, most of all, Stu & Syb--the owners-- did their utmost, as usual, to make this the perfect holiday. The new barn is looking wonderful and hosted several "meal evenings" where everyone got to know one another better and new friends... More

This is a wonderful campsite-I am almost reluctant to tell the world in case we cant get in in the future!! The owners are friendly and helpful. Their French 4 course meal evenings excellent! Its almost like visiting family without the aggro! The only downside being that we were in a motorhome so tend to stay put when we arrive... More

What an amazing campsite ! We took our campervan here in June and had the best time! Stu and Syb are so friendly and really take the time to make sure that you enjoy your stay. You are greeted to a wonderful campsite surrounding with a tour and a cup of tea! The meal nights are a really unique touch... More

This is our second visit to Le Chant but the first time in their 'baby' gite. It's often difficult to find self catering for couple but this gite is perfect. It's comfortable and well equipped and located so you can watch the whole campsite 'coming and going' enjoying themselves. If you join in with Stu and Syb's 'communal' meal nights... More

This was our third visit to Le Chant, we first stayed in a tent, then returned 5 yrs later with the parents and stayed in one of the lovely gites. This time we stayed in our motor home and I must say that each type of 'accomodation' was equally enjoyable for different reasons. Which ever way you are staying the... More
