This hotel is right on the banks of Loch Lomand. We got the impression that the staff thought the location overrides good levels of customer service. Well, it may do for the first time visitor but could put off repeat customers. The staff did not appear to enjoy their job and little weloming smiles nd customer interaction apart from taking... I have been going to the "Duck Bay Marina" on an off for 20 years. I miss the days when this was a smaller venue with a powerful view and a smaller menu. This place is geared for tourists and day trippers from Glasgow. The food was mediocre at best and service was like a programmed robot. I miss the... More

My husband and I had a really lovely dinner. We both had fillet steak which was the nicest we had in the area. Cooked to perfection the side dishes were lovely and were included in the main price, which makes it very good value for money. I had the creme brûlée which was lovely, only criticism was that the shortbread... More

Went to take my Girlfirend there for 1 night, was asked if I was going to be eating in the restraunt. I Booked a table for 2, asked if I could have a window seat, which they said no its up to the managers discretion. Anybody can walk in off the street and get a nice table and you the... More

After being recommended to eat here, we booked a table at the restaurant. The view is spectacular. But that is it. I ordered the fillet steak. £25 for the smallest piece of over cooked meat I have ever ordered. And my wife ordered a fillet of sole, which was destroyed by over cooking ...the only positive was the staff were... More

We arrived at Duck Bay after a lovely tour of the Highlands. This hotel boasts its views on their website, and the rooms do offer nice views over the Loch. This, along with the marina bar, are the only positives about this hotel however. The room had multiple problems: - light bulb was out - door lock was faulty (loose)... More

Just returned from my son and daughter-in-laws amazing wedding at The DuckBay. We had the most amazing weekend celebrating with all the family and friends in an amazing setting. The staff could not have been more helpful and after a little mix up with our room Elaine from reception could not have been more helpful and apologetic arranging for an... More

Weather poor so, getting a table was 'no problem '. Very professional establishment with well trained staff. Well balanced menu with something to suit most tastes. My choice, the duck was extremely well cooked although, I felt that the two accompanying sauces was one too many. Not a big fan of aquariums, but they seem to fit with rhe decor.... More

The service is outstanding but have dinner here for the views and the who's who of who has eaten there (Michael Jackson, really?) the food is very good but it's not fine dining. Irn Bru in glass bottles is a brilliant (in the Scottish sense of the word) ides and must be ordered.
