I strongly recommend this this B&B, the owner, Chris, if I remember correctly was helpful, very friendly an welcoming. Our bedroom was absolutely lovely and great views!!! Vegeterian breakfast provided. I would rate this B&B with more than 5 stars if it were possible. more

Now, it's almost 2 years since we stayed at the 'Phoenix House', so why write a review so late? It's because I recently read a rather negative one from 2008, to which I can mostly agree. We thought this 'luxury B&B" to be in a kind of transition state, but it seems that the bad condition is a permanent one.... more

Myself & my wife recently spent three nights at Phoenix house and I can honestly say it was the biggest disappointment we have ever had during all ours years of travel and staying at B&B’s. This place is neither 4* nor luxury, as they web site seems to imply. The whole place can do with a good clean & tidy... more

Despite staying for 3 nights no mention was made to us about the customer's discontent during their stay which we regard as common courtesy. The comment in the visitors book left by the client says "many thanks" which rather detracts from the negative comments made in the review. We have had a lot of building work done during the summer...

We stayed at the Phoenix with my wife’s parents who booked there to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We were all made to feel very welcomed from the outset by Chris and Elaine who are a lovely friendly couple who gave a very laid back and relaxed feeling about our stay. We had the privilege (being it our anniversary) to have... more

I stayed for two nights along with three other people. Each of our large double rooms were decorated to a high standard, with lots of stylish touches added. The views over the loch from the bedroom and the generously proportioned en-suite was a real added bonus. Breakfast was very tasty with a great selection of options to choose from, and... more

This place is a little treasure. We have stayed in countless B & Bs and Hotels around the world, most of which are "OK", however, The Phoenix is up there with the best. The bedrooms are all furnished to a very high standard and the bathrooms would not be out of place in anyones home and 5 star hotels. The... more

This is a high standard B&B with very modern and clean rooms. Elaine & Chris have furnished the rooms with great attention to detail. The breakfast is the best English breakfast you can get. Salmon or sausages from local sources are absolutely delicious. The bread is selfbaked. If you are staying here, the pub around the corner could be like... more
