This hotel was part of a package including car hire and flights. . Stayed here in May 2014 for a long weekend. It is a good base to see Siena, Pisa, Luca and other towns in the area. The town itself is small - the spa was across the road but didn't appeal to us - it was a spa... More

We stayed one night in this hotel during our tuscan bike tour. The place is a real gem with spacious rooms and a romantic-old look. The spa is o.k. Although the water in the jacuzzi and the pool were too cold, all in all it was a good experience, especially during the bike tour... The restaurant is small and super... More

This was our first trip to Tuscany and we enjoyed our stay at the Villa Margherita. The room was basic in terms of fittings which we expected because of the price we paid and the room was a good size, well air conditioned and with plenty of hot water on demand. Generally an air of faded splendour which we liked.... More

We think this hotel has recently been taken over and hopefully the new owners have plenty of money to spend as they are going to need it! The good - its in an excellent location within easy walking distance of the main piazza and several good restaurants. It has a large free car park. It is very quiet most of... More

The hotel is a lovely old building and the rooms are of a good size. Some areas within the hotel look a bit tired but its a good base in a lovely medieval town for visiting Piza, Florence and Sienna if you hire a car and the hotel has free carpark. We went early May so out of season and... More

Hire car advisable, but surrounding countryside lovely. Approximately 40 minutes' drive from Pisa, the hotel has spacious parking accessed using key supplied with room key and via an automatic gate to the rear of the property. A very popular town with keen pedal cyclists due to the attractive hilly terrain. Nicely kept gardens. Pool (unheated) cleaned at beginning of June... More

Villa Margherita has style. High rooms, library, luxary restaurant room and very nice bathrooms. We enjoyed of staying in the hotel. A slight minus was the slow service. The things very run by two young ladies the other of which was very unexperienced. Her colleque, however, was good in her profession.

Went back for my second stay - it was as nice as the first time. So peaceful and staff so helpful. Lovely second time. It is great for a base, and going for walks or driving off to explore the wonderful country. Great breakfast to set you off on your way. It is like a an old Villa, and feels... More

We stayed here as part of a package deal and would definitely return. Very characterful hotel with basic but clean and comfortable rooms. WiFi in rooms which great. Breakfast was lovely with plenty of choice (only UHT milk though). We paid to use the hotel spa but wouldn't again because, as previous reviews have said it is only very basic... More
