To spend a week immersed in gourmet cooking and dining, in a tiny mountain-top village is beyond description. The palazzo, built in the 1700's and entirely renovated around 2003, was comfortable, quiet and tastefully furnished and decorated. The quaint village is a photographer's dream. The entire staff were caring, friendly and ever ready to teach and serve. Day trips to... More

My husband and I have had the good fortune to visit Italy several times, but our trip in October to the Abruzzo Cibus Cooking School will stand out as one the most memorable! A driver meets your group at the airport to begin the ride higher and higher into the mountains revealing breathtaking scenes of villages and towns poised on... More

I co-led an Earth Goddess Retreat at Palazzo Tour D'eau and it was nothing short of sensationally magical. The accommodations were gorgeous, the locale breathtaking, the food beyond delicious, and the host and his tribe were outstanding. Go, go, go! You must visit this gem.

My wife and I just returned from an exceptional Italian culinary experience – one not to be missed. In particular, we were fortunate enough to have found the “A Taste of Abruzzo Culinary Vacation” offering – a unique experience combining cooking classes of Abruzzese cuisine and various tours of regional towns and the surrounding Abruzzo countryside. Our tour began with... More

Having just spent 3 weeks in Italy, this was the best of them all. We spent the first week of our vacation at the cooking school to be wined and dined with the best. The Palace is a wonderful old (but renovated) place to stay. Although it had no air conditioning, because of it's altitude, the temperature in the dead... More

This cooking school far surpassed my expectations. The scenery was magnificent. The fact that it is located in a tiny village that gave you a glimpse of Italian country life made it the ultimate experience for me. We enjoyed our experienced chefs instruction with plenty of hands on lessons to learn new culinary skills of Abruzzo cuisine. I have to... More

I love everything about food, so this was an ideal vacation for me. I spent a week at the Palazzo in July, when it was hot, hot, hot in Carunchio. Despite the heat, I didn't mind doing the cooking classes, which were held in the gorgeously mosaic-ed (and relatively cool) cellar of the Palazzo. Chefs Cheryl (originally from the US)... More

The fact that we returned for our 3rd stay in 4 years should say it all. There isn't much that I can add to what I've posted previously or what others have said but this...Massimo and his staff are committed to always improving the guest experience. Each time we've returned there was evidence of more investment in the palace (which... More

The word amazing is not perfect enough to describe this vacation! Magnificent? Not enough! It was beyond perfection. I am afraid that I am now spoiled for all other trips! The food, the wine, the staff, the chef, the cooking classes, the day trips and the wine tasting were all so well thought out that we couldn't possibly have asked... More

The hospitality shown by this man and his staff - and family - is so impressive. He has given so much thought and care to what he is doing and what kind of experience you will have. It will make you wish this was your village, your family. And at the end of the week, you feel like you have... More
