Stayed here one night and were impressed with the thought that had gone into making the room comfortable. Although we travelled as a couple our room was equipped for a family (kingsized bed as well as bunks) and in addition to the expected had two TVs, one with playstation; CD player with CDs; a bottle of wine (chargeable of course)... Lovely hotel. Room spacious and very clean with good facilities. Staff helpful and friendly. Excellent breakfast with plenty of choice. Didn't eat there in the evening though as we thought it was expensive. Our room was at front of hotel so had to keep window closed due to noise. No air conditioning, so did get very hot, hence not a... More

Great place for a nice lunch and a few beers on a sunny day sitting outside watching the world go by. Unfortunately as a BandB is works less well. Rooms are hot and no fans are available which needs fixing. Noisy when windows are all open which you would expect. Beds are small see photo for mater bedroom bed wifi... More

Luckily, this 'hotel' is in the most beautiful village of Corbridge. I have to agree with the previous reviews regardig the staff. On check-in, there was NO warm or pleasant greeting, as I had to interrupt a jovial conversation amongst 3 staff. Looking very annoyed at being interrupted, we were hasitly taken to our room. It was clean and very... More

Good standard B&B in great location. We stayed during a particularly hot spell and the rooms were quite warm. The staff aren't unfriendly, but neither are they particularly friendly. Pub is quite expensive, so drink a bit further up the road.

Stayed here to avoid having to drive home after a second hard day trekking along Hadrian's Wall and was looking forward to a relaxing stay. Had a double-room facing the street which was fairly small but nicely decorated and had everything you need. The problem was how hot it was in the room. We were not above the kitchen and... More

We stayed at the Angel Inn and the only similarity to the rooms as shown on the web page was the small teddy bear in the room. Aside from the room issue, the room was clean and quite large. The staff were very friendly and eager to help. The village is beautiful and well worth taking the time to walk... More

The Angel is a busy establishment that has a pleasant atmosphere, but is hampered by the general attitude of the staff. I have met up with friends regularly at the Angel over the years, but always become irritated by the unfriendliness and at times, arrogance of the staff. Either they are not getting the training or support they need, or... More

Stayed here whilst cycling the Hadrian's Way cycleway and had a fabulous stay in this very comfortable hotel. Our room was in the annex, and despite overlooking a busy junction in the village, it was very quiet with plenty of space. The annex had a very comfortable lounge and gardens overlooking the river, and the bar and lounge areas of... More

Booked by the wife as a birthday treat, we found the room, the service, the food and the drinks all just spot on A cracking local base from which to explore our glorious region sans our tribe of lads for this rare weekender. We will be back!

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Angel Inn is a beautiful traditional inn offering great local British food with warm and comfortable rooms. The Angel Inn has a bar offering local ales, a lounge with a real fire, a modern martini and wine bar and a restaurant. Corbridge is a pretty village, once a market town, that lies four miles east of Hexham on the banks of the River Tyne. Today it has a reputation for excellent shopping with various fashion boutiques lining the main shopping street. Our Bar, The ‘hub’ of what we do here at the Angel: a great Northumbrian breakfast, an extensive ‘all day’ menu offering great British food sourced from Northumbrian produce, great local ales, a superb wine list and exceptional service in friendly and safe surroundings. We do not offer food after 5pm on a Sunday, but we are more than happy to recommend a local restaurant. Our Lounge: A great place to relax with friends or a book. Comfortable leather seats, real fire, newspapers, great coffees, afternoon teas, glass of wine, choice of whisky or just a place to warm up after a long walk. Our Restaurant: Our restaurant is both elegant and spacious – sporting a characterful pitched roof with exposed oak beams. A superb venue for dining, which seats up to eighty guests comfortably for private parties, Christmas lunches and dinners or weddings. Our Martini Bar: The bar is the height of sophistication, bringing the legendary Newcastle lifestyle and glamour to your front door. With a contemporary and sleek design it is very easy to settle in and relax surrounded my velvet delights and sumptuous shades of purple. Our Martini bar tenders are highly trained and passionate about their creations and the ingredients they use. We have spirits you couldn’t even dream of ranging from Bubblegum infused Vodka to Honey Liqueur. Choose from out Martini Collections; Modern Classics, Fruit Martinis, Vintage Classics, Something Different, Dessert Martinis & Champagne Cocktails. ... more   less
