On arrival - luckily met someone on the stairs - she didn't know about my booking - lucky I had printed out or booking slip. Room was fine - bathroom excellent - TV antique and unusable if you didn't know the settings for the decoder. The free Wi Fi didn't have a strong enough signal to reach room on the... More

The Dyvels is 6 minutes walk from the centre of Corbridge and is a good, unspoiled pub with reasonable food. The gardens are really pleasant on a hot evening. The pub is just 20 metres from the famour Valley Indian restaurant - we sometimes meet at the Dyvels for a pre-dinner drink and then toddle off for a curry ...... More

We've been coming to the Dyvels for years...my other half started drinking here when he was 18, nearly 40 years ago! Over the years it has had a few changes in management and recently we felt it had lost its way a bit. The new owner, Gino, is definitely moving things along in the right direction. We drink here about... More

Lovely redecorated and comfortable room (no 5), nice bathroom, and bedding added tot he country guest house feel of this small pub/hotel. An excellent breakfast and very friendly host made the stay a joy. Been a regular patron of the Dyvels pub in the past and am delighted by this recent change of management, a very good place to stay... More

Stayed recently for friends wedding within Corbridge. Room clean and tidy, having undergone a recent makeover. Staff welcoming and helpful. Great full English breakfast which set us up nicely for the day. Having visited The Dyvels on and off for 15 years when living in the area I can honestly say that the new management are going in the right... More

The Dyvels is the most charming, quirky, relaxed & welcoming country inn I have had the pleasure to stay at in a while. My room was not only beautiful clean, well presented & comfortable but relaxed with that home form home feeling that I look for. The gardens are a treat & i often found myself basking in the sunshine... More

Was served the worst looking pint of Black Sheep I have ever seen. Headless and flat. Looked like it had come from the drip trays. Asked for another to be told no it's already been pulled and I had to pay for it. I would have said a lot more to him but didn't want it to spoil my weekend... More

Popped in for a drink again and last year we were made welcome, food and drink were excellent. This year, were met by an unwelcome vibe. Was handed a flat beer and assured that there was nothing wrong with it or the bar manager would not serve it. Was told this about 5 times by him. For first instance the... More

We were staying nearby and wanted somewhere to eat outside on a lovely summer's evening. Expecting normal pub grub we were pleasantly surprised by the food quality. My fish was really fresh and my wife said her Salad Nicoise was the best she'd had, anywhere. Beer was good, too. Just by Corbridge station. Take a trip out from Newcastle, don't... More
