We called in here on Saturday night prior to going out for a meal and the place was dead. You would never think you were in a lovely village like Corbridge when you are sitting in this pub. Not sure if I would go back, far too quiet and no atmosphere whatsoever.

Booked in for one night as we were visiting the area The room was small but comfortable and warm Plenty hot water in the morning It was a bit noisy at closing time as the bar customers waited for taxi s and again in the morning when the Co op s delivery arrived early on Sunday morning but the bed... large historic stone built pub, let down by the interior which is like a weatherspoons. Despite that there is a decent selection of drinks including continental lagers. We went on Saturday evening when the pub was clearly gearing up for the evening, strangely a smell of dirty chip fat lingered around the seating area near to the kitchens.

From the moment you arrive and the barstaff try to avoid your gaze as you have luggage this was not going to go well. We knew it was a room above a pub and didn't expect too much. The rooms were of good size and were ok although I think having 19 drawers in a room is excessive! The decor... More

By chance decided to have lunch because of inclement weather, and what good value. The seniors menu (about 6 choices) for £4.95 was excellent. I had roast of the day with 2 good slices of beef, roast pots, mash,Yorkshire and vegs really nicely presented and reasonable portion size. The service was in honesty just a little slow but because of... More

Stayed for one night in lovely village. Bit of a downside is no parking on site and need to park on the street which is chargeable. The staff were lovely and very helpful. The rooms were quite clean bit a bit of attention could be paid to bath sealant and dust in bathroom which would improve the overall feel. There... More

Hotel Rooms dated and need tiding up. If you get a room at the front you won't need an Alarm Clock the sounds of the Co-op deliveries and the deliveries from the brewery will easily wake you up. Pub has decent beer and ok food. Wouldn't be my first or in fact any choice to stay again while in Corbridge

After visiting the classic car show in corbridge we visited the pub for Sunday lunch. It was great value for money main meal, starter or dessert for £8.95. The carvery was excellent and was the soup, plenty of choice and was very tasty. The staff were extremely pleasant and service was swift. We will definitely be back.
