Went to the Kilberry Inn after reading about it in Tam Cowan's column. Boy did he get it right! This is described as an inn with rooms. Having stayed in many deluxe places in Scotland, the Kilberry Inn is on a par with the best of them. Fantastic location, friendly, welcoming but discreet host, first class chef who uses local... more

We're just back from celebrating my birthday at the kilberry inn and I just wanted to share with the world what a gorgeous little place this is. Our room was clean and pleasant but the main event here is not the room as much as the food. Our meal was superb with excellent service. The restaurant is an intimate space... more

Stayed here for two nights in July. Set in stunning part of the country with views over to Gigha and Jura. Greeted pleasantly by our host, David. Shown to our spotlessly clean room which was well stocked with luxury toiletries, teas, coffee and homemade shortbread! Nothing was too much trouble for any member of staff - service was faultless. Food... more

kilberry is the perfect place to chill out and relax, I stayed with my husband for 2 days in a beautiful room with its own front door, named Gigha after the little island. We had champagne on arrival which we drank in the little courtyard in glorious sunshine, this was after a walk suggested to us by david, we found... more

Stopped at the Kilberry Inn - it lived up to its reputation - excellent food, well served and reasonably priced. An oasis in a desert of mediocrity and chip pans! Just had lunch - excellent salmon, crab, scallops, and a good house wine. Cannot do better! more

We only stayed 1 night but thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Bedroom was small but clean and adequate. Table and chairs to sit outside which was a nice touch as we were blessed with good weather, which I am sure is not always the case! Gorgeous dinner, very fine quality food, and excellent wine list with a good choice of interesting... more

Stayed the weekend with wife and friends in two of the available rooms. Met by David and instantly made to feel welcome. The rooms are comfortable and fresh, but the food... Even though we stayed two consecutive nights there were subtle differences to the proffered menu on each evening. This shows not only a dedication to good cooking and using... more

This was an excllent trip. All the food was superb. My hat off to the chef. The hosts were great and the little treats on arrival were very welcome. It was a very enjoyable Hogmanay. Expensive but well worth it. The room was okay, nothing special. They were clean and comfortable. This is beautiful part of the world (scenery and... more

We spent 3 nights at Kilberry, had some wet weather, but still walked for miles. Loved the sheep and they seemed to take great interest in us. David and Clare are great. He introduced us to Scotch and presented us with wonderful food. Service is second to none. The room was actually a small cottage - very private and comfortable.... more
