Just had a lovely weekend at Peralta (26-29 Nov 2011) and we were lucky enough to have wonderful sunny warm days but chilly nights...in other words perfect weather. Theres always something special about an open log fire on chilly evenings and apartment Pipistrelli at Peralta is like a 2nd home to us now. Please see my entry from 27 AUGUST... More

We chose a week in late September, to avoid high season costs and meltingly hot weather, and were fortunate with an ideal late summer. Admittedly, the drive up to Peralta can be somewhat alarming for the uninitiated: the road from Pieve (a village on the ascending outskirts of Camaiore – the nearest town) twists and turns with steep sharp curves... The fact that my husband urged me not to write a review as it would encourage far too many others to visit, says it all! This was our second visit and will certainly not be our last. The tricky winding road up to reach Peralta in all its wooded isolation lends a feeling of excitement and anticipation. This is an... More

Just returned from a fabulous holiday in Peralta. We stayed in Studiolo and were painting and sketching in the area. There are lots of places to visit that are near by and the highlights for me were visits to Lucca - the religious procession was very moving; Pietrasanta is full of the most wonderful sculptures and Colonata, near Carrara for... This was one of those holiday experiences that will always stay with us. We came to Europe from the New Zealand winter, discovered Peralta online and booked it at the last minute. Everything about it was sublime. Our house (Casa Giovanni) was perfect – private, beautifully furnished, artfully decorated, very comfortable, and with expansive views you can gaze at endlessly.... We stayed in La Foresteria which provided a beautiful sitting terrace and truly amazing views from the bedroom. Some of the best views of our travels were here and we enjoyed eating out on the terrace and watching the clouds go by and the sun set. The kitchen, though, was small and had no windows or air ventilation and no... More

What an amazing place. We stayed for 14nights to celebrate our 40th Wedding anniversary. A unique experience I would highly recommend. Read the web site take in the photographs and I promise you will not be disappointed with the real thing, you still go wow when you get there. Many thanks to Kate, Laurie and Hayden who were always around... More

We have stayed in Peralta two times. First time three years ago with a baby girl aged one and a girl aged 12. We lived in La Foresteria, which is a very charming and special house with two terraces. There is a lot of space for one family here. One nice pergola outside the kitchen area, where we had all... More

My wife and I were looking online for a Tuscan villa with a beautiful view in a relaxed atmosphere, and we struck gold with this one. Have read some of the negative reviews here and understand their viewpoints; if you want internet access and a perfect wireless signal, Peralta is not for you, and the drive up the hill is... More

My fiancé and I stumbled on this place over the internet whilst trying to find a great base to tour Tuscany. We fell in love with the pictures on the internet and when you get there it doesn't disappoint!! The views are amazing, although the drive up there isn't for the faint heart, my other half loved (men - action... More
