On our way to Venice to join a river cruise. Stopped here for lunch and wine tasting. The setting is fantastic. The food was fairly simple but very adequate the wines were good and we had a variety of sparkling, white and red. After lunch we had a small tour of part of the house, the chapel and the winery.... We spent 3 wonderful nights at the castle in one of the 2 bedroom apartments located in one of the towers. Great accommodation, the Baron and his staff were friendly and helpful. Excellent wine available for purchase. Our accommodation included a tour of the villa, chapel, grounds and winery, followed by a relaxing wine tasting. a great start to our... More

The grounds and buliding are stunning. We had a tour of the wine cellars and tasted some lovely wines with bread and cheese. The prosecco was the nicest I have had. But i think the stunning surroundings and lovely staff make everthing that much nicer.

i am sorry we only were able to stay here for one night. our apartment was so huge and light-filled, with comfortable beds and a big bathroom and everything we needed to be well cared for. the baron, vincenzo, was such a sweetheart - most generous and very interesting to talk to over dinner and wine. we started with their... Very charming and romantic place to stay. Castle and gardens are beautiful and owners are very helpful and welcoming. breakfast is served in a original Castle kitchen in a busy morning environment, that kept you in a feeling that you are a part of Castle life, even Contese came for breakfast.

I spend an afternoon with colleagues to visit the castle , the winery and have a dinner in the cellar. It was a wonderful moment, felt like part of the family with the baron of the castle having dinner with us. An excellent choice for a few hours of team building. I did not stay over night so i can... At a stone-throw away from Venice, the Castello di Roncade is an excellent accommodation choice for the savvy traveller. The well preserved 16th century castle is home to the classy and friendly Bassetti family who, within it, operate apartment style visitor accommodation and a winery that produces quality and reasonably priced reds from the locally grown grapes. The picturesque castle... More

Driving over the moat on to the grounds gives you the feeling that you are driving back in time. This walled castle is wonderful. The size of some of the trees are overwhelming. Having the winery and tasting room their gives you the complete experience. The staff is most helpful but when was the last time you had a Barone... More

il Barone is an attentive host with very helpful staff. The atmosphere is relaxed despite the impressively stately setting. There is a fully functioning vineyard attached with is interesting and tastings and cellar door sales of some very good wines. Understandably the estate is a popular venue for weddings which puts some areas off limits at certain times. There was... More

When we drove up to the Castello di Roncade, we could hardly believe that this was the B&B we’d booked. The setting is incredible: when you pass through the center of the quiet town of Roncade, you suddenly come across a castle, complete with protective walls (built in 1490), a moat, and inside, an elegant avenue of trees and statuary...
