Virginia and Bob are delightful hosts and run a charming B&B set on a gorgeous property full of flowers, and a huge selection of various trees. The setting is tranquille and the birdlife is fabulous. The rooms are cosy and very clean but note there is no TV. You should be here to enjoy the beautiful surroundings. Just 2 minutes... More

A friend and I arrived late in the afternoon so did not have as much time as we would have liked at this beautiful garden. A toot on the horn (as the sign says) and Virginia appeared with her two beautiful greyhounds to welcome us to her property. After a bit of a chat and a pat of the friendly... More

There was much to enjoy about this B & B. The gardens are blooming, pretty, well-kept, thoughtfully marked ("Hmm, I wonder what this tree is...? Ah, here's the label.") and loved by the birdlife. The room was comfortable, clean and included everything you'd expect. Virginia and her dogs were friendly and relaxed. One touch that I smiled at was the... More

Having arrived in Lavers Hill late in the day & no where booked to stay at peak holiday time, were lucky enough to be given the number for here. Virginia & Bob welcomed us into their home and beautiful gardens, with intriguing barbed wire sculptures. We enjoyed the great breakfast with a choice of 16 home made jams that they... More

Hubby and I found this place by recommendations from the Information Centers who rang around to see what was available. It was perfect for our 29th wedding anniversary. The lady was exceptionally friendly and so were the adopted dogs.Sat by the closed in fire reading in the evening. Had cereal, scrambled eggs and toast laid on plus percolated coffee, double helping.... More

Got to Cottage Flower Farm, late in the day, based on looking at a list from the information center. PS- the info centers on the great ocean road are a GREAT resource. What a wonderful surprise. Up in the rain forest, just 1 KM from Melba Gully. And the garden areas, just amazing. Virginia and Bob are serious gardeners, both... More

I stayed here recently with my husband and my parents in their late 50's. Virginia was very welcoming and made us tea and coffee when we arrived and was kind enough to let us re-freeze the ice blocks from our chilly bin. The rooms, although basic, were comfortable and perfect for a nights B&B on the road. We had plenty... More

We paid $150 per room per night and we didn't even get bacon in the breakfast. You should expect cereal and scrambled eggs. Tasty enough, but for that price I really expected a bit more. Otherwise it was all quite nice.

We really enjoyed our night at this home....The hosts were lovely and attentive, they welcomed our toddler who is quite rambunctious. The bed was comfy and the water in the shower lovely and hot. We lit the wood fire, as we feel the cold although they are used to it. Our daughter was especially happy to see the two friendly... More

We booked Melba Gully B&B because we were planning to see the Melba Gully glow worms. The glow worm not really worth seeing but we were lucky to have stayed at this cottage! One our arrival, Virginia served us tea and coffee, allow us to enjoy the tea at her peaceful and beautiful garden. The breakfast include a variety of... More
