I visited this lovely oldie worldy Inn which lies in a tranquil area of natrual beauty. The accomadation was comfortable.peaceful, clean and very reasonable. The staff are very helpful and curtious. The inn is registered for ceromonial weddings and has a lovely dance floor with a seperate private reception area and bar for your guests. Hertsmonceux castle with the added... More

The Horseshoe Inn, Hertmonceux is a great place to stay for a holiday. We were visiting relatives in the village. The Horseshoe is within easy access of Eastbourne, St Leonards, Hastings, Bexhill on Sea, and Battle. There is a very large car park. The room we had at the Horseshoe overlooked the car park and we had no problems with... More

Booked this as looked like a lovely country hotel. For 80 pounds for a luxury room we was stunned this is going by pictures of course. Upon arrival we went past it 3 times as in fact all it is is a pub with bedrooms. The room was dated had condensation on the windows and I really couldn't work out... More

On arrival, there was no one to greet us at the desk and once we found a member of staff he was less than welcoming. When we tried to check in he claimed he had no knowledge of our booking, and said that Expedia had not notified him of our reservation. There was no apology given by him although it... More

The rooms are compact, basic and very dated. The windows in our room were completely rotten and the panes were falling out - would be very cold in the winter. There was one very flat pillow per person on the bed which had to be folded in half to almost resemble one pillow. The breakfast was "economy" with tinned mushrooms,... More

The down stairs is lovely, comfi cosy but large. The upstairs and the stair ways could benefit from a new carpet and a coat of paint. Very retro which is lovely, and with a bit of a freshen up would be even better.

I stayed for work Monday through to Thursday back in March. I found the rooms to be a bit on the small side but nice all the same. Breakfast was nice, the wifi was a bit tricky to maintain a connection but overall the hotel was fine. At the time Monday and Tuesday had a big band playing one night... More

I called in with a family party of 10. I placed our order at 18:18, the food arrived at 18:50 and the order was wrong despite me double checking it with the duty manager that took my order. I was told I would have to wait a further 20 minutes for my food. It finally arrived and it was appalling.... More

After reading several negative reviews it was a pleasant surprise to find this inn. We booked for a single night through late rooms and for £54 had a good sized double en suite room with a very decent breakfast. We also had an evening meal which was most enjoyable with plenty to choose from on the menu - many items... More

We stayed here recently after reading rather mixed reviews, so was a bit worried, but have stayed in worse places. We booked a double room that turned out to be rather small, with a rather uncomfortable bed. The room had not been vacuumed either before our stay or during with dust everywhere and bits on the carpet, and cobwebs on... More
