Six Fellas their wives and a dog came for a walking holiday. No. Its not the start of a joke. We arrived at the Neeld Arms and were immediately put at ease with a very friendly welcome from Charlie and his staff and clientelle. The rooms were great, the food was briiliant. Varied beautifully presented and great value. But ,... More

Wanted to go here for a while, on way back and popped in on a Friday evening , what a lovely busy pub, bustling with life and full of people drinking good ale and eating good food , had a really good vibe and enjoyed a good pint of Elmers and a lovely glass of Sauvignon Blanc , well worth... More

We stayed at The Neeld Arms for a friend's 50th birthday party. Roughly sixty of us ate in the new dining room and we were amazed at how well the staff coped with preparing and serving three courses to us all. Many of us had steaks and each was cooked as ordered! The bedroom was very large and comfortable with... More

staying nearby I went to this pub for an evening meal. I ordered a steak and asked for it to be medium. I waited for some time for it to arrive. Sadly the outside was cooked and yet the steak was virtually raw and cold. I complained and to be fair the landlord refunded money. It was not a good... More

Stayed here recently for a couple of nights as I was working in that area.comfortable rooms, proberbly the best bed I've slept in,with equally comfy pillows.breakfast was also very good.AS my work partners and myself work away from home on a regular basis, this place was ideal. Will definitely stay there again if we are working in that area.

We had an excellent stay in this beautiful old pub. Our room had lots of character (but don't bother if you like sterile modern furnishings). The bathroom was pristine - we chuckled when we read the notes about the vagaries of elderly plumbing but it gave us no problems ! The people running the pub were very welcoming and friendly... I booked the neeld arms inn for my pregnant wife's birthday as the reviews were good and it looked like our type of place. I booked it through bookings.com. We drove all the way from London to arrive tired and relieved to be there. We entered and had to wait at the bar, until finally the waitress asked if we... More

Great pub, run by a wonderful attentive and accommodating team. Seemed really happy to go the extra mile and genuinely helpful and friendly people The rooms were well appointed with bags of character! Breakfast was simple but a spot on full English. I would highly recommend.

These pair made our stay fantastic, they were both complementary & helpful, they went above and beyond the call of duty. I would recommend to stay at the neeld arms. Having these pair will make your stay far more comfortable and relaxing.

This is a nice pub in a pretty village, but our room was very basic. The bed was big but lumpy. It was below zero outside, but it was impossible to shut the window fully, and heat was only provided for an hour or two at bedtime, and not at all in the morning or in the bathroom. The plumbing...
