Lovely atmosphere, fantastic food and the owners and staff could not have been more welcoming. We hadn't booked but nothing was too much trouble and we had a brilliant time. We will definitely go back.

I was traveling with my son to an event at Castle Combe Circuit, something we do on a regular basis. knowing the area a quick bit of research brought up the Neeld arms. We usually use Premier inns but thought we would try something different for a change. We booked a twin room for 1 night. Arrival was fine and... More

I dont like to leave 'poor' reviews, but the experience my partner an I had was so disappointing. Reading a few review we decided to book here for lunch. We were ask for our drinks order, shown a blackboard menu and a snack menu, then left to our own devices. The barman turned his back on us and conversed with... More

We popped in here for lunch as we were passing by. There were limited lunch options but we only really wanted a sandwich so that suited us. I had a cheese and pickle ciabbata. The cheddar was good quality but the pickle was branston so a bit disappointing. The salad was nice and fresh with a good dressing. Overall it... More

Again, third visit says it all, this proper little country pub is really charming with great characters either side of the bar. The rooms are still quirky, which suits us, hey it's 17th century its not going to be perfect but nevertheless comfortable. A little disapointed with the limited choice on the chalkboad menu this time as we are non... More

Booked this pub as heard good reviews. Booked for husbands birthday meal. When we arrived, they couldn't find the booking under our name so they booked us in under one written in the book. We ordered drinks and were told all meals were on the blackboards. We had been looking for a few minutes and an older lady asked if... More

I love this place. Whenever I am staying over I try and get in with Charlie and Boo at the Neeld Arms. Proper pub, great beer and better food. Rooms are quirky, clean and lovely. Grittleton is a very small, but very quaint, village. Cheers Charlie!

When visiting the area this pub was recommended and it did not disappoint. Not being very hungry myself I chose to have the soup of the day - Broccoli and Orange, followed by another starter - Goats Cheese on a bed of leaves and toasted pine kernels. My husband went for the pork medallions in sauce served with fresh vegetables.... More

Well, where to start? my family and I live most of the year in Tanzania and we have a holiday home in Chippenham, about 6 miles from The Neeld Arms. We like to refer to this pub as our local and the whole family looks forward to coming back to the UK on holiday and spending time in this pub.... More
