Always live the food and atmosphere here. New maître de dark hair and beard what a charmer and adds to the appeal of the restaurant. He recommended the specials etc and knew the wines too. The food and service had slipped recently but we gave it another chance and are so glad we did. Back to its former glory with... More

Stopped here just for one night with my son. We were up in Scotland to watch racing at Knockhill and this seemed to be a reasonably close hotel with good reviews. We were not disappointed. The room was spacious and clean and the welcome warm. The only issue was that we could hear some noise from the next room but... More

Popped into the Tormaukin for an early evening meal. Phoned before we arrived, table not a problem. It was only a Tuesday evening but the restaurant became very busy by the time we had finished. The meal was excellent and the staff very pleasant and helpful.

We had a one night stop over at this lovely Inn and wished we were staying longer. It was unbelievable good value for money. The staff were lovely and the room big enough for four adults. Breakfast was incredible and we are all still talking about it now! The best breakfast we have ever had in any hotel! We will... More

I have stayed here on a number of occasions and must say how impressed I am with the place, staff and the food. The rooms are traditional and spotlessly clean and there is free wifi. Breakfast is served to you the old fashioned way which is a refreshing change rather than having to queue for a lukewarm buffet. Highly recommended with... More

From start to finish a delicious experience. Food was amazing. You will pay a wee bit more but the freshness and quality is well worth it. Staff were very attentive and friendly. I can't wait to return.

We booked for dinner and a room and breakfast the next morning. We were in room 6 above the main reception which was a veey nice room with comfortable bed and ticked all the necessary boxes! The three course dinner was simply exquisite, cooked to perfection and delicious and special mention has to go to the attentive staff who were... More

We stayed two nights in this lovely hotel in the Scottish countryside. Our room was spacious, clean and well appointed, with very friendly and attentive staff. The breakfasts were fresh and hearty. We also ate our evening meals here which were very satisfying.

We stopped off here for lunch and a drink yesterday. We sat outside . The staff were all very helpful and attentive. The food was amazing. I had the best mushroom risotto ever with lovely fresh asparagus. Partner had beautifully cooked chicken. Food was well presented and of a very high standard. Think we will be back !
