The first two nights in Scotland, we spent at the Tormaukin Inn. Our room was large and had everything we needed. Even extra blankets and we were experiencing a colder than normal August. The bathroom was updated. The atmosphere of the Inn and restaurant was very inviting and the staff was helpful and welcoming. Please be aware that this is... More

We visited the Tormaukin Hotel for the first time for a family get together with 2 children and 9 adults. The rooms were comfortable, cosy and well appointed. We stayed in 'the stables' and were permitted to take our dog. There was a great choice in the dinner menu and the quality was excellent. I've not had such a fine... More

We visited the Tormaukin Inn on a cold wet Thursday night, and so were delighted to be greeted by a welcoming log fire and friendly helpful staff. Our starters of Baked Goats cheese tart and Smoked chicken salad were delicious, the presentation was beautiful! My main of Herb crusted Cod served with smoked Haddock linguine was one of the most... My wife and I stayed in the Tormaukin Hotel some time ago and found it to be superb. Recently, we found ourselves in the area once again and needed overnight accommodation and, for us, the Tormaukin was the obvious choice and once again, we found it to be superb. Although the hotel is a little bit out of the way,... More

My husband and I stayed with other family members to celebrate an 80th birthday. This was our first visit to this hotel and could find no fault. Lovely large bedroom with toiletries, tea and coffee facilities provided.Food was exceptional and very friendly staff. It was Valentines weekend and everywhere was decorated with heart shaped balloons and streamers which was lovely

My boyfriend booked to stay here for my birthday treat and was not disappointed. Gorgeous room on arrival (Room 6) followed by a fabulous meal (goats cheese tart to start followed by fillet steak and managed to squeeze in a raspberry mousse!). Boyfriend had monkfish to start, also fillet steak and sticky toffee pudding (big squeeze!!). Great atmosphere, roaring log... More

Lucky enough to have a short break at the Tormaukin. Wonderful walking area and we did just that. As for the hotel (it's not far for us) the staff have to be the best I have ever come across. Nothing is too much trouble and they take time to chat with you and are genuinely interested in all of their... More

What a rare find this place is. Location is a bit out of nowhere , only tiny negative but once you arrive the ambience when walking is amazing. The food is unique and quality is spot on. Yes it is on the high price scale but for that all round great treat, come here. The staff were lovely and warming... More

After a lovely walk up Castle Campbell our friends had booked a table at the restaurant here. What a lovely place the staff were very welcoming & attentive and it had a cosy atmosphere. Delicious honeyed parsnip soup for starters then 2 of us had the Belly Pork and it has to be the best I've ever eaten ... Lovely... More

We booked all the rooms out at the hotel for a family party. We had visited two years previously and could not fault it. All of the rooms were lovely including the annexe rooms beside the restaurant. They were all furnished to a high spec and the one fault we had was that the water pressure in one room wasn't... More
