Amazing stay at the Tormaukin- room was great- very comfy and tastefully decorated. Food was delicious- lots of choice- venison and the chocolate fondant were fabulous. Atmosphere was super cosy in front of the real fires. Staff were excellent- loved every minute of our stay. Good choice at breakfast. Great value for money too!

We did the 8 milometer walk through the valley of the snow covered hills from Dollar to Glendevon and couldn't have been more pleased to find the pub of the Tormaukin Hotel at the top. Despite arriving just after 2 pm when we were told their kitchen closes to bar visitors, the staff agreed to serve us as we sat... More

A style that is uniquely British is the traditional "Coaching House" -- so called because these were Inns placed at strategic points along main roads for overnight stops in the old days. The defining qualities are charm, coziness, a warm welcome, and good beer and food. The Tormaukin gets all of these spot on. We last visited 11 years ago,... More

We've just returned from a couple of days of staying and eating at the Tormaukin Inn. It was just as I remembered when we stayed a few years back - great staff, great food, good wine list, and a great wee room to boot! Spent our time walking through the day, and no better feeling than arriving back at the... More

We booked this Hotel a few months ago and didn't expect too much, but we were all over the moon with our find. The Hotel is amazing. The food was way beyond our expectations absolutely Superb. We had our puppy Schnauzer with us and she was made welcome by all who met her. We took our own dog cage for... More

We had a party of 10 people and the staff were very accommodating . We had booked Xmas menu but most people decided they wanted the the Ala carte menu!. The choice of wine was good and the service excellent . We had 3 courses and wine, and the bill was very reasonably priced I would recommend the Hotel for... More

My family had enjoyed a meal here several years ago to celebrate my brother's 40th birthday and I vowed to return some day - hopefully with someone special. My someone special turned up and we spent two fabulous nights here. The room was spacious with a pretend fireplace (I got the room I'd asked for!) and the shower worked perfectly... More

Visited this hotel when friends were staying there recently. Lovely cosy feel with wood burners adding to the atmosphere. We didnt stay for a meal but they looked good and friends said they were delicious. Drinks and coffees served by very friendly staff. Obviously somewhere thats really popular for Sunday lunch if parking was anything to go by. The room... More

My partner and I stayed here for a night this month after a trip abroad. This was a last minute booking to break up the trip to Inverness. We arrived at 8 30 pm and we're pleased to be able to order dinner. We had 3 courses all were cooked to perfection, reasonable prices too. The room was comfortable for... More

Did dinner bed and breakfast here on way home from doing the same at the very much more expensive http://mhor.net/monachyle-mhor-hotel/. Although the food at MM was very good the Tormaukin food was excellent too and much better value. Frankly apart from the giant bathroom with his and her baths at MM the room at Tormaukin was smaller but every bit... More
