Lovely comfy bed with cotton sheets, warm room and clean, but very tired around the edges. A friendly welcome and helpful staff. Silly things let this place down, which aren't quite worth complaining about but would put me off going again. The flattest pillows I've ever seen, cheap tea and coffee in room, unable to plug in both bedside table... More

The hotel's website shows pictures and a description of its rooms, service etc. It is incredibly far from a realistic view of the hotel - the pictures look nothing like the actual bedroom designs. The word 'luxury' is used - I can assure you that it is not a luxury hotel and this is false advertising. A lot of people... More

Stayed here last night in a twin room with a double bed & a single bed. Both my sister &Ii had a comfortable nights sleep. hotel was clean & decor okay. Guy on reception was very pleasant as was the other 2 staff memebers on. Yes there are noises at night but it is a very old building so it... More

We booked here for one night's stay, a twin room including breakfast. The price we paid was very cheap so we weren't expecting a 5 star establishment. There are faults with the hotel but to be honest they are easy fixes and some of the previous reviews are a little unfair. Firstly, it is an old building and as such... More

Staff a bit vague, customer service skills lacking in the Restaurant. We only eat in the Restaurant, did not stay in the Hotel. The menu looked lovely but unfortunately the actual food on the plate did not match up! My daughters Chicken Supreme was tough and tastless. My Lemon Sole unrecognisable as the lovely white fish I was expecting. Could... More

It was with some trepidation that my wife and I booked into this hotel for their Valentine's candlelit dinner overnight stay offer The hotel bore more than a little resemblance to Fawlty Towers. The whole place was "tired" and most of the comments regarding the furnishings are true. However, we found the room, towels, sheets, etc to be clean, the... More

Arrived on a Friday evening to stay two nights. Our room was ace. Original beams on show, uneven floor which was ace and added to the age feel, really old furniture and a bed to die for with the thickest mattress i have ever slept on. But: the bathroom was a let down. Mould in corners and cracked tiles. Plastic... More

Nice room, friendly staff, good breakfast so really have no complaints about our stay. Car park is quite difficult to find so best to ask before arriving. Brackley is a really nice market town in which to visit.

Stayed in this hotel for 1 night with family members, we had 5 rooms. First impressions were good, easy check in, nice communal areas, open fires, comfy sofa. We had room 4, double bed (very comfy), sofa, dressing table (rickety chair), curtains didn't quite fit the windows, silk flower arrangement covered in dust, tea bags left uncovered on side, no...
