This is really the only game in town. It is a typical small town hotel with some charm but in need of renovation. We visited the rooms because some of our family members were going to stay there. The location is great if you want to stay in Brackley. BUT, as one of the reviewers remarked, the city hall bell... More

We stayed here as it is in the heart of the charming town. As I'd recently had an injury, the room we were given had an over bath shower, we asked if another room was available and the staff immediately showed us alternatives and moved our luggage for us while we had a coffee in the bar. The rooms we... More

Book in was fine, on entrance to the room I was greeted with creaking floor boards, a dirty ripped carpet, a dangerous ( would never pass PAT test and if twisted cause room electrics to flicker) extension lead running around the room that allowed bedside lights to be turned on, the dimmest light fittings going, a radiator that would not... Stayed overnight in a double room priced very competitively. Reception staff very helpful and welcoming. The room was spacious and clean but just looked a bit tired. However, the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom also could do with some brightening up. It's main downside is a plain glass window looking out onto tables in the courtyard - really needs... More

Four of us stayed half-board at this lovely Hotel, originally a coaching inn and still retaining most of its original features. Its location is superb, directly opposite the market square and elegant Town Hall. The bedrooms were roomy and most comfortable with elegant funiture. The meals were of first class quality using much locally sourced foods. The staff were particularly... More

We called in here for a coffee and bar-snack. The coffee was good & the menu not bad but nothing out of the ordinary. My partner went for a jacket potato with chilli & I had cottage pie with peas & gravy. There was a huge helping of salad with the potato which was fairly unnecessary & the peas I... More

This hotel was a bit old and worn down, but otherwise fine in terms of the decor and spacious double room we stayed in. The reception staff were friendly and there was no trouble checking in late. We did not eat there, breakfast or dinner. What let the hotel down in our mind was the somewhat uncomfortable bed mattress, the... More

The skirting board in the bathroom was black with dust and dirt and the sink had not been cleaned. Furniture was mismatched and paint was peeling from said furniture. The carpet had not been acquainted with a vacuum for quite some time. The ceiling light had only three bulbs working out of the six and one bedside light didn’t even... More
