We were visiting bath on our way to Cornwall and had hoped to spend a night in the centre of Bath but as it was a bank holiday weekend so many places were booked up. Garston Cottage had many good reviews so we booked in there instead. We parked at the cottage and caught the bus into Bath, so avoiding... More

We picked this cottage primarily by the look of the outside from the photos, plus it was only about 14 mins from the centre of bath.the cottage was very clean and we had a nice welcome, my mum came with us and she had a double room, and we had to have a family room as there were no doubles left... A stay at Garston Cottage means basic needs are met. Our room was adequate, and the bathroom was clean. The common room through which you enter is a bit dark and the furniture out-dated but we never lingered long. Beverly is gracious and had a lovely breakfast waiting for all of us who shared the long dining table. Parking is... More

We stayed one night in August 2014. There were minor issues but overall the owner made us very welcome and we enjoyed our stay. The cooked breakfast was very nice and set us up for the day. The view of the lovely garden from the upstairs is worth a look. Parking can be an issue as there is one space... More

When I started planning a friend's hen do in Bath, I looked at all the usual run-of-the-mill places (travelodges etc). However, they were all super expensive and lots of places wouldn't take us for 1 night. I came across the Garston guesthouse and from the minute I phoned to enquire, I knew I'd made a great choice. Beverley, the owner,... More

The cottage is on a lovely road with nice views. It is at the top of a hill so keep that in mind if you are not so mobile and fancied a walk to the local pub. The bus stop to Bath is only a minute away and is every 15 - 20 minutes or so. Much easier than driving... More

Our stay was generally as expected, however was spoilt by the owner deciding too embark on a wood cutting exercise all of the Saturday morning. It was directly over our room and a bit discourteous. We did receive an apology, but a weekend away for my wife and I is generally too relax, not engage with DIY. The room was... More

We stayed here for 1 night and would def recommend as the cottage is lovely. The owner Beverley is very welcoming and helpful. Our bedroom was clean and comfortable( room 6) and we loved all the extra little touches provided in the room. Breakfast was extremely tasty and nothing was too much bother. The hot tub in the garden is... More

We had a lovely stay at Garston even after we arrived past 10pm, Beverly was a very welcoming host and our room was clean and tidy with a lovely view. Breakfast is a bit strange as you come downstairs and sit around a large table with the rest of the guests which makes for awkward social situations, however breakfast was... More

This place was in a lovely location, but on a narrow road so parking was a problem. The rooms were pleasant with great views, although not the cleanest we have stayed in..carpets stained for instance. A decent breakfast with fresh fruit alas spoilt with luke warm coffee. The lady owner was pleasant but not over friendly, but for a night's... More
