We stayed with my brother and his wife on a b&b basis.Friendly and helpful staff. Room recently refurbished and although small was extremely comfortable and very clean. Nice view over coast from our room (4). Evening meal was very good and breakfast more than adequate. If you're looking for a comfortable and friendly stay in a nice location definitely one... More

My family & I had a lovely meal, we could not fault it. Our Steaks were cooked to perfection & quality was good. The majority of staff were good. We would recommend that you book as it is very popular.

Had a great time here and cost peanuts. The only problem was me and my girlfriend both had some sort of allergic reaction from the room as we both had very itchy eyes and sneezing so I assume a cat or someone who owns a cat had been in the room. Apart from that it was perfect with great views... More

Even on a wet cold January afternoon, the village of Beer holds a special charm. Calling into Tha Anchor for a late lunch completed the visit. A warm and comfortable recently refurbished lounge, with the best fish finger ( real home made fish fingers- not out of the freezer ) sandwich, served speedily with tasty accompaniments, wonderful.

Booked a 2 night stay on impulse this week. What a delightful working fishing village Beer is. Totally unspoilt, friendly locals, great walks. The Anchor Inn is right on the beach, just refurbished throughout. We will definately be back. If a calm, quiet break is what you need, this is the place. The staff could not do enough, very friendly, especially... More

We were made to feel very welcome during a recent stay - the staff were all very friendly; the room was clean and well furnished; and the breakfast, whilst slightly delayed, was hot and tasty. A lovely location close to the sea although there was no car park. An excellent place to stay midweek when it was £54 B&B. WiFi... More

Stayed for 2 nights shortly after the refurbishment. Great job. It looks lovely. Felt very comfortable and enjoyed the pub atmosphere - cosy, warm and friendly. We didn't feel the need to eat and drink elsewhere. We had late Sunday roast, £5.99. The following evening the set menu, 2 courses £7.99. The fish and chips were delicious. The fish coated... More

I visited here in October with my husband and parents for 3 days of walking the South Coast path. When we arrived, the staff couldn't have been more welcoming or friendly. The room (7 I think) was large, light and spacious. It had all the facilities that you would expect including really nice toiletries, hair dryer, tea, coffee & biscuits.... More
