Warm, friendly local pub that serves a rich variety of good food. Accommodating staff able to cater for walk-in Sunday lunch even though full booked. Unfortunately no children's menu however so feeding a toddler will set you back £7:50. A great place to go with your lover's in-laws.

We as a group of 5 adults with our 8 dogs turned up on the off chance after a walk around Shearwater Lake. We were made very welcome along with our clean well behaved dogs. The pub was very comfortable and our lunch was magnificent. Thank you to all the staff and we will definitely return and recommend you to... More

Excellent place to stay . Great food and lovely room - highly recommended whilst visting Longleat - very friendly staff. Evening meal was on time and delivered by smiling staff - the bar has a well stocked list of whiskies and to my delight gin - just one comment, get some fever tree tonic for the Hendricks 😄

warm welcome at the bar, drinks sorted and shown to our table by the smiling staff....(I do like people who smile)The food was served without a hitch, all nicely presented. very happy to recommend this pub......only possible improvement would have been if the little mince pies that were served with the coffee had also been given to our tea drinker...jealousy... Stayed her for a couple of nights whilst visiting Longleat. We got a great welcome and the room was huge and very comfortable. There was a super king size bed and a large walk in shower. We had breakfast and evening meal and both were excellent. Would recommend to anyone.

Stayed here after a day at Longleat. The welcome was lovely, they allowed us to check our bags into our room even before they had finished cleaning so we could set off for the day! Our room was massive! The shower too was huge as was the bathroom! The bed was out of this world comfortable! A lovely quiet location... More

After seeing the exceptional lights at Longleat with friends, needed a quick meal. I had booked this venue a month or two ago for a business meeting, but had no idea the food, and indeed the politeness of all was overwhelming. Fully booked for a Friday, they made room for is. Absolutely first class meal. Nothing to fault at all

We were met by an exceedingly helpful barman who showed us to our room above the pub. Wow! beautifully decorated, large spacious and well equipped. This was a real delight. The restaurant is also very much worth a visit. We both really enjoyed the Sticky Beef and we had a nice chat with the chef after our meal. Clearly loves... More
