We don't get to do a lot of Country pub eating so was a bit different for us. The menu was limited but we both found something to entice us and were both very happy on what we received. Seemed a popular place which is understandable because not only is it a very nice pub it is set in a... More

A large comfortable room awaits, with a king size bed, large sofa, large flat and large flat screen TV. The bathroom is large and spacious with high quality toiletries good quality towels. There are two rooms like this and they are not over the public rooms of the hotel so it is nice and quiet most of the time. Breakfast... More

This great pub has just two rooms. I used to stay here a lot about 5 years ago so had my fingers crossed bringing my wife and daughter for the first time that it was still as good as I remembered, it is! Fantastic big room, great bathroom, really comfortable beds, very helpful service and wonderful food. The pub is... More

So refreshing to stay somewhere that is as good as it's reviews. The staff were friendly and efficient. The room was extremely comfortable. The food was pleasant and plentiful. The breakfast excellent. If we revisit the area, we will be happy to stay again.

The lovely little pub/resturant type place was very lovely inside, modern to an extent but nicely furnished and old fashioned. The outside looked a bit worse for wears but dont be fooled, it was lovely! ! The bar staff offered you a drink straight away where you could choose from a variety of drinks including a pear juice which was... More

We stayed overnight whilst at a local festival. The pub is lovely and the room was one of the best we had stayed on. It was very large, the bathroom was as big as some of the bedrooms we have stayed in and we loved it. We had a great nights sleep and woke up clear that we were going... More

The food, drinks and service was great as normal. The long sofa seats in the bar area though need some real overhaul. This was supposed to be done 2 years ago! Very uncomfortable to sit through meal! !

Friends recommended we went here for a meal and try the Sticky Beef Night, 6 of us enjoyed a very tasty meal, the beef was on a bed of red cabbage, accompanied by dishes of cabbage/carrots, beautiful cream potatoes with chives, they do this for the price of £10.99, including a glass of Riocha, the tasty desserts were extra. I... More

We had lunch here a while ago. The sticky beef is to die for and the duck was delightful. We had a voucher so the price was halved but I think even paying full price we would certainly go again. The pub is fairly plain but the service is good and the food is definitely the star of the show.

We came for a family birthday meal. We have always found the pub to have a really friendly warm atmosphere and the food has never let us down yet! Only downside was our waiter was young so he didn't truly know how to interact with customers and was a bit too keen to remove our plates as soon as we... More
